If you get a chance you should watch EWTN's tribute on the 7th anniversary of her death.

Some wonderful tales of the miraculous and supernatural in her life and about her appearing to one of her nuns after her death.

    Love this stuff.

I read a very funny and insightful story from the life of a nun who was later canonised. Very, very many people were writing letters to the Vatican complained and accusing the poor woman about all kinds of horrible things.

The then Pope asked how many letters they had received concerned her activities.

    200 he was told.

How many of them accuse her he asked?

196 and four praise her, he was answered.

Then let her be, said the Holy Father, she is of God. If 196 had praised her and only four accused her we should have known she was not of God. :):)

I met Mother Angelica when I was in Birmingham and was in the audience of her show. She walked down the aisle and shook hands. I was surprised she was so short and tiny. The best things come in small packages! How I miss her.

A great saint. They always seem to end up, these saints, being put on a big Cross by those in charge in the Church.

This tells us a whole lot about the State of the Church in our present day world.

If she had been alive today they would have totally buried the poor woman. Mother Angelica was never afraid to call things and people out for who and what they are. She reminds us that being loving and being nice are two different things entirely.

I'll say one thing about the present day Modernist Heretics who have taken over the Church and control it ( make no doubt about it from top to bottom from the Pope on down, they own it).

They would totally, totally bore the socks entirely off you. \Boring to snoring.

Whereas the good guys, like Mother Angelica, are great fun and endlessly entertaining.

You know it's the nuns who follow the same Traditional Good Catholic path followed by Mother Angelica who flourish and are coming down with good vocations.

    The bad ones die.

The Good ones go from heights to heights.

No vocations for the bad guys.

    None.

I remember Mother Angelica saying that a lot of nice people end up going to hell.

Me too! I went to her show twice and one of the times she put her hand on my shoulder when she was entering :). Hopefully received some blessing from that! I enjoy watching all her old episodes, it’s like she’s talking about the times we’re currently living in. She’s timeless.

    God Bless!

Yes. I have noticed modernists have no real sense of humor. They take themselves too seriously for that. Mother Angelica had a wonderful sense of humor. Delightful.

Not just in our day. St Margaret Mary was badly treated by the other nuns. And look at poor St John of the Cross. As I recall St Francis of Assisi was booted out of his own order.

I read a book one time by an English Monk in the 17th century called I think Albert Baker. He had a theory that Holy Religious were naturally humble and did not look for promotion. Whereas , on the other hand, bad religious were mad like crazy to go just as high as you could go. So if you were to enter a Monastery, for instance if you were looking for the holiest monk you would probably find him cleaning the toilets, whereas the worst monk might be Abbot.

This is not always true of course. But I think it very, very often is. If you look at a list of modern saints they are almost invariably busy cleaning the toilets or answering the doors of something like that.

    Of Hand a few examples,

    St Bernadette.

    The Cure of Ars.

    Padre Pio

    St CatherIne Laboure

The list goes on and on..

Mother Angelica was different of course she was a natural leader. But I heard her mention that in dealing with other people they were inclined not to treat her seriously because firstly she was a woman and secondly a nun.

DINNER WITH MOTHER ANGELICA - August 4, 1995

In 1995, I targeted Mother Angelica's EWTN live show to interview Joey & Marilynn. I called and wrote the President Bill Steltemier for 6 months straight relentlessly !

He finally caved in, probably figured it was easier to put Joey on one time and get rid on me for good, lol. Well, that show was the highest rated show they ever had ,and Joey & Mother Angelica had such good chemistry, we were asked back again, and again. That show caused the video to explode in the USA.

Joey, Marilynn, and myself flew down to Alabama to Mother Angeilca’s EWTN . We are warmly greeted and shown around the tv station, and shown a house where we will be put up for the night. We were graciously invited to dinner at Mother Angelica’s house, before the show. When we arrived, there was Mother obviously, President Bill Steltemier, and a few top people at EWTN. You could tell instantly Joey & Mother Angelica “hit it off” and there was easy conversation and joking.

As we all sat down to eat dinner, Mother asks Joey if he’d like to say grace. Joey gladly accepts saying “ yes Mother ! “. Joey then does one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. He opens by saying, “ Mother, I’d like to start with a 15 decade rosary ! “ There is dead silence ! Some jaws drop, and everyone is afraid to say or do anything. After a lengthy pause ( which as you can imagine felt like an eternity ) Joey says, “ Nah, I’m only kidding ! “
A loud burst of nervous laughter erupts at the table , and a collective sigh of relief from everyone, lol.

It just goes to show you that you can maintain a spiritual life, without sacrificing the joys and laughter of life. After the show, Joey invited Mother Angelica to stay at his home anytime she was in New York, which she did. She has promised to air the great Miracle on EWTN for the world to see. They remained great friends when they were alive..

MOTHER ANGELICA HAD A HEALING ON HER LEG IN 1998.

NO MORE BRACE,AND SHE WENT TO GARABANDAL,TO THANK THE BVM.

Yep. There is a wonderful movie called Keys of the Kingdom from the 1940's about a humble missionary priest whose best friend from school was a smooth operator and very ambitious. The missionary priest is humble and charitable. It is a wonderful movie if you can find it.
