View attachment 12808 39ACB09B-5D84-439F-9E3B-B965FB2F1140.jpeg I was browsing the Mystics of the Church Website last night and came across these quotes from various mystics which left me feeling rather disturbed. What do you think about these predictions that the majority of souls will go to hell?

This is a very important thread - a constant reminder is needed to make sacrifices for poor sinners.

Also a reminder for us to keep guard of our souls and stay in a state of grace.

“Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen”
She is the refuge of sinners.
Shae, I have seen that article before. I can’t keep reading it right now!
We really must continue to make sacrifices, as garabandal says.

Thank you for this post...how easily I slip into complacency even in times of desolation.

You know, I really miss hearing about indulgences. I should look up some information and bookmark it.

Just remembering how "selected" we are, to be in this generation. We were not born in this age by chance... And, despite that the power of evil is indeed, in its peak, we´re given enormous gifts and one of the most powerful of them is the Holy Rosary. Mary also has promised to Sister Lucia in 1925: " I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who, in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary.”.

Of course that does not excludes the obligation to pursue a holy life through avoiding all kind of sins and have a habit of small but effective penances (the little way as teached by Saint Thérèse of Lisieux). The consecration to the Imacculate Heart of Mary is also a GREAT if not the best shield of these times against evil, sin, and of course, its consequence, which is death... Not to say the countless examples of great saints through history that today may also help us all the time, as long as we invoke them and keep faith. They´re the Triumfant Chirch.

    God bless you all.

Heavenly Hosts, it would be a great help if we had a thread called Indulgences that would explain what they are, and where we could add indulgences.

Thank you for this great thread thread Shae, a great reminder for us all. This explains the reason for the Warning, Our Lord has done everything to take us to Heaven with Him.

Our Lady of Fatima clarified that "most souls go to hell for sins of the flesh more than any other reason". What are the sins of the flesh? Adultery, fornication, masturbation, sodomy, contraception, pornography, co-habitation. All are celebrated by the liberal left and its propaganda centerpiece Hollywood, making it all look so appealing to the fallen human nature. Yet, we don't hear about these sins in our Catholic church anymore, so there is no guilt for practicing any of these grave sins of the flesh. One could conclude this generation is the most seduced by these sins of the flesh, more then any generation ever via the cell phone, which most 12 year olds and up are carrying and watching .

It is a scary topic. But Catholics used to be constantly reminded of the Four Last Things. Death, Judgement and Heaven or Hell.

Catholics were also reminded that their primary duty was to get to heaven. Period.

Very often in theological debate on this as on many other topics people tend to go down the , 'I think ', 'I feel', route. Or in other words they choose to believe whatever they feel most comfortable with. Clearly the most comfortable thing by far to believe is that there is no such thing as Hell or if there is it is empty (as Bishop Robert Barron recently suggested) .

The reason why I think most people go to hell is because of something that is written in the Cathechism of the Catholic Church, quoting St Alphonsus Ligouri, a Doctor of the Church and our preeminent Moral Theologian by far.

'Those who pray will most certainly be saved'

'Those who do not pray will most certainly be damned'.

My very strong impression in every day life is that very, very few people are praying

Hence I believe that very, very few people will be saved.

Of course God may change this by a Great Miracle in the future. But that's the way I think it is at the moment.

Folks have pretty well dumped God and so they're off to hell.

I believe this is why "The Warning" is so necessary in our generation.

    Good posts.
Indulgences are gained to remit the punishment for sins that are already forgiven so they wouldn’t apply here. I like what St Alphonsus said about those who pray go to Heaven. Thank you, Padraig.

Then again you might ask the question, 'Well how do you know people are praying?'

Well people talk about the things they love the most. If they love their family they talk about them; if they love football they talk about football, if cooking they go on and on about it...

People seldom or never mention God, so its not hard to figure out He doesn't even come into the equation.

When I try from time to time people just look awkward, shy and kind of baffled like I had suddenly turned green.

Whereas if they were praying they'd be interested. They're just drop dead not interested. Therefore they're not praying, therefore they're far , far down the road to hell.

I'm not saying they aren't nice law abiding people, but hell is hell is filled to the rafters with nice, law abiding, people. Nice just doesn't cut it.

    People have forgotten that.

Didnt Sister Lucy also say --one maybe another mystic or saint--that most who go to Hell did not believe there was a hell. I remember Padre Pio's terse reply to someone who didnt believe there is hell. "You will believe it when you get there!"
