He will not fail you! Through a group, I have put all of the MOG forum intentions and they will be brought and touched to St. Anthony's tomb on June 13'th. St. Anthony pray for us and bring our lost ones back to Jesus and His Church!
Sam, thank you so much. Today is the feast of St Anthony, we belong to his parish, and today is also the 60th anniversary of my First Holy Communion. It’s amazing that you thought to have our intentions brought and touched to his tomb. The years roll away.
Thank you so much , Sam. There is a lovely utube channel called Saint of the Day which does about 3 minutes on the saint of the day, it is very good for learning about each saint as their day comes round.
It's so telling that when you travel to different Catholic Churches how very, very often you see statues of St Anthony of Padua, nearly always carrying the child Jesus. This teaches us what a huge, huge devotion to the saint there is right round the world to the saint. This devotion happened for a reason and this reason is tha twhen folks prayered to St Anthony they found that there prayers got answered. It is also very telling how the experience St Anthony had of holding the Child Jesus in his arms struck the Catholic imagination, for it is just so very, very beautiful. I don;t think he was the only saint to hold Jesus in his arms in a vision but he is maybe just about the most famous. It is a tribute to his great purity.
Please pray everyday for our current Martyrs of the church all over the world. Our prayers are a consolation to them and they can feel it and be lifted up. Our world is in a dark place right now. Especially Bishop Alvarez in Nicauagua who refused to leave his flock . I found this article, they keep getting taken down but this one is still up. God help us. https://newdailycompass.com/en/nicaragua-bishop-alvarezs-slow-martyrdom-in-ortegas-prison
Thank you Sam for your wonderful gesture. Some of our kids are lost. May St Anthony help them to find the right path back to the arms of Jesus.
Every time I see his statue it warms my heart. I don;t know what it is about him but it does. He reminds me in a big, big way that the saints pick us, we don't pick them. But you know when I look at generations and generations of Catholics they all felt the same way about the guy, which can't be wrong. He was a very, very humble person so I think in his life a lot of him lies hidden. I was praying to him today I called up to a lady, a grandmother whom I believe is dying of congestive heart failure. So I prayed for her. I know another guy whom I believe is dying of Leukemia so I prayed for him. And another heart case. So St Anthony has much to do. But the lady in the hospital with the heart thing. She never goes to Church and is shacked up with someone. But she said a young priest from our Parish went to visit her. But there are only two priests in our Parish both in their 50's I asked her to describe him and I don't know him . You never know. I don't mind good Catholics dying but I worry about souls going to hell. Anyway St Anthony help us out here.
Also, a prayer for the USA. Our government is acting terribly. Trump has been arrested and booked by Marshal’s. It’s an abuse of power by the Democrats. Please St Anthony help us.
It's a showdown, and it's going to get ugly. Their continuous persecution of Donald Trump only proves that they fear him.
