This is about the forum and getting notices in my email regarding topics or even PMs...I don't get them any more and wondered if any one else was experiencing the same thing. I used to follow along many topics because there were emails sent to my inbox. Now there is nothing sent. I haven't changed any of the preferences and I checked my blocked addresses and nothing had been changed. I wondered if any one knew anything about it? Thanks, Gail
Yes Lee, I have been experiencing the same thing! I have been wanting to post about this problem but thought I would be a nuisance. That is why when I have sent PM's I have been resending them and questioning the person on the other end to see if they received it. By the way Momscalling, I have sent you a couple so wondering if you received them.
I switched off the forums emails so that the African thieves could not send spam mail. But if folks like I'll turn them back on again, though you risk getting mad messages from folks in Africa needing dough. :roll:
I, personally, would like to receive the emails, I feel sort of disconnected without them. I'd take the risk, and fend off those devils.
Me Three! I just realized that I have 3 messages and I also didn't know because I wasn't getting notices. We will just have to ignore the spam.
Well, happy days! I found two little buttons, one stops users sending board wide emails (which the spammers were doing} and I have kept this stopped. Also another little button which allows the board itself to send its own little emails notifying posts I have unchecked this. So we have the best of both worlds (I hope) no spammers and board notifications. Its quite complicated, for me, there are so many little buttons to press. :roll:
I try Gail, but I am no expert, we would be better I think having a 13 year old do this, he/she could run ring rings round me as far a computers are concerned.. Any 13 year old, anywhere. :wink:
That made me laugh out loud. I have a 19yr old still at home and he's a techno wizard...I'm barely literate.

I thought you might like to see a picture of where folks are joining us on the forum are coming from. On average on forums over 90% of people never post, just read, which is fine. However the Spirit leads.... At the minute we are getting about 700 'hits' a day on average:
