Dear brothers and sisters, I don't know if this has been asked here before, but I am having a difficult time searching for definitive answer(s) as the church itself has no firm answer, even the priests themselves are split. In many credible private revelations, heaven (through our blessed mother or Jesus himself, or even through souls in purgatory) warn us that Communion shall be in mouth only and only consecrated hands (priests) can touch the bread after being validly consecrated. This controversy has been fueled even more after the start of the pandemic where in my country Communion is given in hands exclusively and attendants are denied any opportunity to get Communion in mouth. I need your valuable insight regarding this delicate matter, I know it will be a hot and controversial thread. God bless. Joseph.
You can look into this thread where it was discussed not so long ago: https://motheofgod.com/threads/receiving-communion-hand-or-tongue.17958/
Joseph, when you look back on the thread that Dusica just linked, read the posts from BrianK carefully. He outlines the history of the practice.
