Is the Novavax abortion tainted? It's just been approved here in Canada, I'm obviously extremely suspicious of it but I don't have time to look into it because I've been very busy lately.
You're in luck! Per both "Christianity Today" and "Church Leaders", Novavax is the first Covid vaccine that is free from abortion-tainted cell lines. To quote CT: "No human fetal-derived cell lines or tissue, including HEK293 cells, are used in the development, manufacture or production of the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine candidate, NVX-CoV2373,” a Novavax spokesperson told Religion News Service via email.
I’m still strongly against taking this but, does anyone know how safe this vaccine is, was it rushed or is this normal time it takes for a vaccine to be available? Also, in regards to remote co-operation with evil, is wanting to take the vaccine in order to move to Chile to avoid the effects of War, (albeit, the effects of the war where I live here are fairly remote) famine, unemployment, and the great difficulty of not being able to start a family and have independent life; are all those sufficient reasons for remote co-operation with evil or are they not? Again, I’m strongly against taking this, I rather Chile just lift its vaccine requirement and I pray almost everyday that it does, but I do want to know; both somewhat for the above yes, but also because I want to explain to my dad why I’d rather not take this.
RW I sympathize with your quandary. You've come this far. What would it hurt to wait? My cousin's wife is from Chile. Lovely country but they are in the midst of their own troubles. Honestly I think there is no safe space to run to anymore. Just my 2 cents.
It is VERY unsafe. Check out the Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System (VAERS, https://vaers.hhs.gov/ ) which is run by the Centers for Disease Control, or CDC, in the US. There are several thousand adverse reactions reported there, and they are reportedly a couple of thousand reports behind. Reporting is voluntary, and I have read reports from staff at various hospitals who state that management has told people not to report these "adverse reactions" to VAERS, since they cannot be 100% sure that the adverse reaction was caused by the vaccine. Keep in mind that in the past, when a new vaccine had 50 reports on VAERS, the vaccine was pulled from market. Normally it takes between 5 and 10 years to develop and test a new vaccine before it's considered safe and effective. Advances in computer modeling have reduced that time somewhat, but this was definitely rushed and did not have the level of testing other vaccines have received. I heard a report on the news recently that a man collapsed and died shortly after receiving the vaccine. When his family tried to collect on his life insurance, the insurance company turned them down since it doesn't cover death that occurred using an experimental treatment. The vaccine is still legally an experimental treatment being used under emergency authorization.

RW, Everyone must make a prayerful decision. I can't say that the decision I made to refuse abortion-tainted shots is the one every person should make. We also need to accept the fact of dangerous possibilities, especially a chance of myocardial ischemia-related problems in young men. A son of one of my friends here in Mexico, NY, experienced this after being vaccinated. But you are discerning a significant life change. Is your decision based primarily on frustrations of your present circumstances, or have you also experienced a leading from the Holy Spirit in prayer? Safe in the Father's Arms!
Good question Sometimes we want to take a “geographical cure” which might not be what the Lord is leading us to do.
I just learned last night that the plant-based Medicago vaccine was approved a couple of days ago; I'm not saying I'll take it but, was it tested on HEK293?
