Anyone else sensing the gravity of what is going on with Russia and Ukraine? That is is the beginning of the real tribulations that it is all downhill from now on and the world we once knew will never return? That we are entering frightening times for all of humanity? I know I have mentioned that next year will be my last teaching year and I am going to cash in my pension. But, I have been thinking recently if NATO and Russia clash and we head into war, the possibilty of nuclear war is great -- I have to give 3 months notice at work to claim my pension and lump sum - if this develops into a serious war then I am going to hand in my 3 months notice as soon as possible for I fear next year will be too late if we slip into WW3. So I could leave my job even before this summer if this develops into a serious nuclear conflict. I just have a real feeling we are entering the times of God's justice, tribluations and chastisements. Ave Maria.
I was thinking about this today . . .What if? The NWO only has two things standing in their way for the great 2030 reset . . .Russia. and China.. What if Biden was put in to make our country look weak. To allow Putin and China to make their move. Then the NWO moves in on them to bring them down and implement their plan. Just wondering.
I agree with you but I am experiencing a strong cognitive dissonance about it all, like I know this is that "s**t hitting the fan" moment but I'm kind of paralysed or in denial. Thank God I at least got confession today.
In a fight between forces of evil, evil will be the winner. There's a reason that God told us to let the cares of today be sufficient. Whichever side wins this current conflict won't be a friend to believing Catholics. Yes, chastisement is coming. We'll know soon enough who will be the persecutors whether or not there's a world war. How will a few months change what looks to be coming down the line?
Whilst I hope and continue to pray for peace to this war in the Ukraine, I too sense that this may possibly escalate. God willing, like you, I hope to have my mortgage paid too by next year, but who knows what will happen between now and then? We don’t need to look so far ahead, Jesus tells us so in the gospel “Do not worry about your life... “ (Matthew 6:25-34)We don’t need to try and figure out what to do, God will! More than ever we must trust and surrender our lives, worries etc. to Jesus, “Trust in the Lord, with all your heart and lean not in your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall make straight your paths” Proverbs 3:5-6 A priest one time gave me great advice, he said, ‘The devil is always in a hurry’, also I heard the saying, ‘ God leads the devil pushes’, so please, take time to reflect and pray before Jesus in the blessed sacrament, He will guide you in what to do and you will know, because you will have an inner peace with whatever choice you make. “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will act.” Psalm 37:5
I agree, we have approached the beginning of these sorrowful times. I think it is wise to be prepared to retire earlier than you planned.
Wow that is what I have been thinking. Putin has made the first move against the NWO/Great Reset like a chess move. This is something he has preparing for, for a long time. The NWO western nations have tried to isolate and demonise Russia with economic sanctions. But this has merely inflicted more pain on their own citizens with massive price rises and inflation. I wonder if Putin has other moves up his sleeve?
I kind of feel like this. But in a peaceful kind of way. I'm experiencing a kind of block in my mind every time I feel like I ought to be more "worried" than I am. And that's an interesting thing, because there's a pattern in my life of me getting really worried and stressing about things that end up being fine, or getting this "block" preventing me from stressing about things that really are a big deal, but that are taken care of by God in often extraordinary ways. So for me personally, I believe this is a very big deal that will have consequences worse than Covid, but I know at a very deep level that God is taking care of everything.
There are times when I feel a squeezing pressure around my heart. But mostly I figure ... what is to come is to come (resignation). I especially pray for the disabled, children, elderly ... the very vulnerable. My husband is (mildly) disabled. He had an unpleasant childhood. Lots of seizures (now well controlled), a heart attack (before I knew him), a mild stroke in 2015. I don't want him (or many, many others) to have to endure yet more. Sometimes I feel a flash of real anger ... but it's quickly gone with prayer and focus.
Definitely very scary and unsettling times. When I’m feeling anxious I reach straight for my rosary and ask Our Lady to grant me her peace. We can pray. And pray more and visit Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament to pray for peace. Only God can change this situation. With prayer seeking the intercession of Our Lady and Her Son, we have the power to change the situation. We must redouble our efforts with the rosary, Adoration etc and tell others about the power of prayer, Fatima etc. Satan thrives on fear. But our Lord is Prince of Peace and Our Lady is Queen of Peace. If you take early retirement you can spend the extra free time devoted to prayer best wishes for whatever you decide.
Putin is very calculated it would seem. Extremely crafty and purposeful. To say he is falling apart is western propaganda I think. Its a mess. A big hot mess and the west is not entirely blameless in this from what I have read. Pray and send aid if you can. But David Healy called it. Prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and our hand in Our Lady's through her Rosary.

I have a hard time believing God would ever allow nuclear war. It would destroy His creation. Then again, he allows man to do things. I don't know. I go back and forth on this one.
I pray, like you, Andy3. God is Merciful, and yet, we reap what we sow. There is one truth I need to cling to: in the long run, God works all things to the good for those who love Him and are called according to His plan.
