The Little Blue Book

I am returning to work tonight after several days off and my car is broke. They tried to fix it but it broke down again yesterday and they had to tow it back to their yard.

Currently they are looking for a Mitsubishi computer to gaze inwards into its innards. It does not look good, in either case it sounds expensive. I need it to get to work.

I prayed to Our Lady and opened the little Blue Book and got the most amazingly consoling answer.

May - 6th

'Hello my sweet child.I am very happy with you.You bring me flowers of joy and I give them to my Son. I also bless each one of your little duties, don't think they are too little for me, they are not and I would want you even if you had no Duties to perform. My child don't think bad of life's little ups and downs. Where there is the Cross there you can be sure, is joy. Do you understand? Pray! Thank you! Out of simple desires come blossoms of holiness. I come with all my plenitude, seek to avail of my treasures. Seek heaven where you will be happy Thank you for coming!'.

It sits on our kitchen table for all to make use of.

I pray that the mechanic can repair your car. The Blue Book message was so lovely.

 

They have! It was very expensive. Apparently the second hand part they put in to fix it was itself a dud.

My mechanic is away to Spain on holidays for Easter with his family, which makes me feel jealous. It seems he likes to ski. Perhaps there is still snow on the high Calderas.

I woke up the other morning and my angels were all around me saying sweet and encouraging things, they were so kind. It shocked me a little, they are inclined to be a lot more brisk. But I admit I loved it. It must be the Season for consolation.

It reminded me how kind we should try to be to each other. As the Abbott in the Monastery said to me one time,

'Padraig try to be kind to everyone, you never know what other people are going through'.

I saw a couple the other day in the early morning coming up from the hospital entrance in wheel chairs. They must have went down together for a smoke. Each had their right leg amputated and were chattering away together like little birds. I would guess they had diabetes.

Seeing others teaches us how happy we should be with whatever little problems come our way.

 

Oh how wonderful (not the expense), but at least your car has been saved. Yay!!! So happy for you.
