A thought occurred to me last night, what if this anti-colonialist sentiment among young people is actually a weird form of projection? There were of course problems with European expansion, including primarily the fact, that not all the European powers were Catholic, and/or Evangelization wasn't always the highest priority among them. But perhaps the main reason why so many young people are anti-colonialist today, is actually because deep-down they know that they themselves, are being colonized! They're being taken over by rich and powerful white men in Davos ,and being indoctrinated into weird white man religions like Marxism and Tran-humanism and the like. Perhaps young folk know this deep down and are projecting it onto the Indigenous people and the like.

Of course this could all just be weird psycho-babble on my part, what are your thoughts?

I think it is an interesting thought. They are being colonized to be anti colonialist. Like Big Brother's memes in 1984. "War is Peace." For example. Backward and upside down.

USA, UK and Europe are being colonised by people from countries that were not civilised by Christianity. It is the means by which the civilised west will be returned to paganism and all the more easily enslaved.

If people do not repent and return to God and His laws and precepts, we will be chastised the same way the people in the Old Testament were. IMHO

It is the exact same force which seeks to eliminate the family, love for country, gender, sexual morality and all forms of Religion but most especially Catholicism and make Governments God.

To turn us into a brainless hodgepodge of mindless, spiritless sheep the more easy to be cooked..Communism, in fact.

There is a really wonderful New Leader in Italy called Giorgia Meloni who is not afraid to talk about all this and looks like being Italy's next Boss.

    Thank God. :):)

An interesting idea RW, and I would hope that seeing it happening to them would bring some humility! But I sense that it's more like they feel all of this land is somehow theirs through an on-going God-given entitlement.

It's a great tragedy that the Church in colonised nations didn't teach over the centuries that being sent to foreign lands was a blessing and that we had to remain faithful to not lose that blessing. What do people in North America think, that their poor grandparents came over on angels' wings? There were massive ad campaigns to recruit immigrants who were found in the poorest populations, people who had nothing to lose and everything to gain. They were given land in North America and other nations to til and develop because it suited the powers that this happen. Displacing the natives was no doubt part of the plan too. And who was paying for the ships to carry all those poor folks? The same people meeting in Davos today because even back then, immigration was a way to advance their plan.

There have been stories for a long time about elites funding vessels and NGOs to bring immigrants today into our nations.

I agree with Julia, we need to repent urgently but how can people repent if they think they got something out of merit instead of seeing it as an undeserved blessing? We are being chastised for sure, but something tells me it's more about us deserving to lose what we have than the others coming over who deserve the lands. Judging by the appalling lives that most of these poor immigrants have once in the west, they are probably lied to about what to expect once here. But once here there is no going back.

Well said. There is very little gratitude for the many gifts God has given us here in the west. The attitude it seems to me is very much the prodigal son--give my inheritance and get out of my way. The prodigal had to reach the absolute bottom before he humbly made his way back to the Father's house. We are in for the same lesson.
