Good morning friends. Can I get your thoughts on something please. My daughter ordered a Christmas gift for me online which we received and paid for (2 items costing about $100.00 Cdn). A few weeks later, a second delivery arrived of the very same 2 products. It appears the company sent the duplicate order by mistake. So I had my daughter contact the company to advise them of their error. They said they would email her a return label to send the products back, otherwise, if she chose to keep them, they would bill her for them. I decided to keep the products and just pay for them when they billed us. However, the company did not send a return label as they said they would, and they also did not bill us. It has been several months now and we have heard nothing further from them. So my uncertainty lies in whether I should just let it be, or should I try to contact the company again. I just want to do what is right. Appreciate your input
Send another email saying that you are still awaiting a return label and if you do not receive a response within 3 working days you are considering the items a gift. Thats how we dealt with all returns to suppliers when I was a logistics manager.
Something very similar to this happened to me a couple years ago, where out of the blue I received a box of Catholic children's movies that I hadn't ordered. I emailed them and they initially responded, but then they never contacted me again when I had a further question about how to get it returned. When I realized a year or so had passed, I decided to just disperse them to my family members for their children to watch.
You are very, very honest. I think I would do as John said and email them one more time. But I really admire your honesty in this. I wish I were as careful.
I agree to me an error in your favor should be brought to someone’s attention. To not do so, I believe is a sin and the same stealing. However I also think that after trying to rectify the situation if the other party does not follow through with their end so that you can return items— well then it’s a gift that God got especially for you! That’s my take and how I handle things
I'm happy to say it has been resolved. I contacted the Company and have paid them. I feel much better now. Thanks everyone!
