From my understanding after the chastisement or 3 days of darkness, qbout everything will have to be re invented, like electricity, cars, internetm how long would it take to get them all back or will we still have power after the chastiesment. Also wasnt sure if 3 days of darkness is same as chastiesment.
I believe after the 3 Days of Darkness is over there will only be about 1/4 of the world population left. Some people will think they're the only ones left, there will be so many dead around them. I imagine the world's entire infrastructure will crumble with such a scarcity of people to keep it running. The survivors will be focused on God and feeding their families.
After God is finished with this generation we will return to being an agrarian society. Few really understand what is coming. It will be like the destruction of Sodom & Gomorrah on a worldwide scale. The living will envy the dead. But before that God in His goodness will anoint the world with blessings giving mankind an opportunity to repent. Blessing before punishment.
The blessings will be the illumination, signs and wonders from heaven, miraculous healings and permanent signs. But this generation is addicted to it's sins and many will fall away and reject grace for they are consumed by avarice, pride and lust. It is the rejection of the final grace of God that draws down the justice of God and chastisement. The culmination of the chastisements may very well be the three days of darkness.
You are right that people are addicted to their sins. Even in the face of truth--abortion is the best example. Science has proven what we always knew--this is a human being from its first moment. To people with a conscience this was always obvious. But "trust the science" doesn't work with pro-aborts ironically. Once they were given the proof that abortion is indeed murder their response was "so what? I still have the right." To me this was the most chilling thing of all. People who are slaves of sin want nothing to interfere with that sin--especially sins against the 6th commandment. Only God's grace can Penetrate that darkness but when that grace is given i.e. the Warning--what will be the response? Much much prayer is needed. Many Rosaries.
If global telecommunications end, will the church have to go back to a system of pentarchy with bishops helping the pope govern the church (as it was in the primitive church)? After all, it will be difficult to have a centralized government in Rome without fast communication with the bishops, the clergy, and the world.
