They have been burning for 4 days with a Santa Ana wind condition, blowing east to west, hot with gusts up to 100 miles per hour. 21 Firefighters have been injured, 410,000 acres burned, 1,500 homes destroyed. At the feet of Mary. I can't help noticing that despite the fact these fires are massive there has only been five deaths so far. This seems to me little short of miraculous. The same thing happened in Europe and Australia during the summer. Even in new Orleans as far as I remember there were incrediby few deaths. Its almost like a shot is being fired across our bows.
