Tomorrow morning I'm going to get a couple cavities filled, and I'm hoping y'all will pray for me that it doesn't go over two hours, because my baby still nurses frequently and has never been away from me that long... I'm so worried because my husband will have only had three hours of sleep after his night shift and will have all four of the kids while I'm in there getting worked on. Please pray my baby will be ok without me and that the particularly large cavity will be ok with just a filling and won't need a root canal...which would take so much longer! Thank you!

I would guess there is no bigger adventure in life as to have a large young family. To do it with great courage and Faith is wonderful

Poor St Appollonia of Sicily had all her teeth pulled out as they killed her

You may recall Apollonia was Muchael Corleones first wife in the God Father . She got herself blown up.

Apologia does not seem a lucky k7nd of name

Ow! I have been there... If the cavity does need a root canal they likely won't do it there and then. Most dental practices have a specialist who only does rc's and you should have a separate appointment. Root canals often fail if they aren't done by an expert, so don't let them just steam ahead. They can drill out the decay and put in a temporary filling.

God bless, and may everything go very smoothly. My youngest daughter had a similar problem recently - nursing baby, needed to visit dentist.

Thank you all for your prayers! I was in and out in just under two hours... Did a ton of praying through the whole thing, didn't need a root canal, and baby did fine! :D

Goodness two hours seems so long for a filling!

It is interesting to consider why God created teeth as He did. It was with our teeth we first bit into the apple in the Garden of Eden.

Perhaps the parts of our bodies we are most apt to sin with are the ones most sensitive to pain.
