    Hello all,

    It has been a while since I have been on here. I'm not active but I'm asking for any and all prayers, especially rosaries, that the U.S. state of Ohio (where I live) does not go through with passing issue 1. Voting will take place on November 7th next week. It has to do with abortion. Please ask Our Dear Blessed Mother, all of the saints, and Jesus to compel the hearts of men to vote no on this issue despite the overwhelming propaganda encouraging people to vote yes. Ohio has a large amount of religious people, including Catholics and other Christians. I have hope if enough people come to the voting polls they can abolish this issue. Please also pray that the voting is fair and there is no cheating. If there is, may divine forces intervene and stop those evil doers.

    What will happen:

    Issue 1

    A Self-Executing Amendment Relating to Abortion and Other Reproductive Decisions Proposed Constitutional Amendment
    Proposed by Initiative Petition

    To enact Section 22 of Article I of the Constitution of the State of Ohio A majority yes vote is necessary for the amendment to pass.

    The proposed amendment would:

    • Establish in the Constitution of the State of Ohio an individual right to one's own reproductive medical treatment, including but not limited to abortion;

    • Create legal protections for any person or entity that assists a person with receiving reproductive medical treatment, including but not limited to abortion;

    • Prohibit the State from directly or indirectly burdening, penalizing, or prohibiting abortion before an unborn child is determined to be viable, unless the State demonstrates that it is using the least restrictive means;

    • Grant a pregnant woman's treating physician the authority to determine, on a case-by-case basis, whether an unborn child is viable;

    • Only allow the State to prohibit an abortion after an unborn child is determined by a pregnant woman's treating physician to be viable and only if the physician does not consider the abortion necessary to protect the pregnant woman's life or health; and

    • Always allow an unborn child to be aborted at any stage of pregnancy, regardless of viability if, in the treating physician's determination, the abortion is necessary to protect the pregnant woman's life or health.
    • If passed, the amendment will become effective 30 days after the election.

    I will certainly pray for this intention. Over here, we have the March for Life coming up on the first Saturday of December.

    By the way, thank you for being on this forum. I have read about your struggles - you and the entire forum are in my prayers.

    A small thing, which is actually quite important: As we Catholics are Christians, I think we can confirms this with our language: Instead of "Catholics and Christians", we could perhaps say "Catholics and other Christians". The latter implies we are Christians, the former does not.

    I am only saying this because I know many Protestant Christians do not consider us Catholics to be Christians at all, and I know you had your own conflicts related to this.

    May God bless you abundantly!

    No criticism, I know this is very much the culture. But every time I hear this, I feel like I want to say: "Wait a moment, I am a Christian, too." :)

    Anyway, Ohio will be in our family Rosaries.

    It is now in Ohio Constitution- no limit in abortion ( even without parental notification) and for gender reassignment (no parental notification)

    God have Mercy on Ohio

    Republicans will lose because of this issue, unfortunately. It was a gift to Democrats.

    I was physically ill at the news. God's going to punish us for our butchery. It made me think of a Saint Hildegard prophecy that a lot of Catholics think is alluding to the United States.

    “A powerful wind will rise in the North carrying heavy fog and the densest dust by divine command and it will fill their throats and eyes so they will cease their savagery and be stricken with great fear. After that there will be so few men left that seven women will fight for one man, that they will say to the man: “Marry me to take the disgrace from me.” For in those days it will be a disgrace for a woman to be without child, as it was by the Jews in the Old Testament.

    “Before the Comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scoured with want and famine. The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided, and in great part submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion. The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. All coastal cities will be fearful and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed and even those who escape will die from a horrible disease. For in none of these cities does a person live according to the laws of God.
