today is the pre-president elections (its a weird system, first we vote for the presidential candidate of each party, and then months later we vote for the president). Please pray people vote wisely or at least with the country's best interests in mind rather than their own short-term personal well being

Will surely Pray. Argentina and all of Latin America have given much to the Faith. God Bless Argentina. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

update: a libertarian candidate, who was unknown to everyone 4 years ago, has won the pre-presidentials. However he is the only one who said abortion is "first degree murder with gravity increase because of parentage" ,so its fair to assume he will seek to change abortionist law. He also wants to give back to parents, the right to opt-out kids of "sex ed" in school.
    an strange outcome ,really. :coffee:

He sounds good from what you say. If he gets abortion right then the rest will follow.

So did the right guy win? I'm guessing so.

Just saw this from Al Jazeera: "
What’s behind Javier Milei’s election win in Argentina?

Victory by far-right candidate in Argentina’s presidential primary causes global shockwaves."

Also saw he was critical of Commie China's CCP for Human Rights Abuses. Sounds like a Great Guy!

I can’t remember his name, but there was a mystical priest, who predicted Argentina would get saved before the days of tribulation.

he's also popular because he raffles his senator salary every month:D
he rejects getting a pay for politics, but doesnt gift it to charity either (because thats "charity with your fellow man's pocket"). So he set up a system where anyone can sign up and its a sort of lottery to see who gets his salary each month.

So what is ‘far right’ about this guy? That’s the label our conservative-leaning newspaper is using today. Sounds like I would have voted for him. I would describe myself politically as centre-right though obviously my faith comes first. There are some mildly left leaning politicians I would support because they are pro-life

he's just libertarian and anti-abortion. in Argentina all the far-right who actually killed people were peronists. milei is anti-peronist. he's not even anti-gay but just thinks the State shouldnt fund the interests of a tiny % of the population.

He sounds rather refreshing… but… I read this morning that he did a stint as a tantric sex therapist and has a thing about threesomes. Honestly. Can’t some healthy, normal, prolife, pro-Christian folks run for office, anywhere?

Good question! Apparently such good Christian candidates are not out there. Truly we are at such a place that only God can fix this.
