Please pray for my grandson Vinny, who can't quit drinking and smashed up another car today. We are at the end of our limits, his boss finally fired him. I am going to do a novena to Matt Talbot. Please Jesus heal him completely. Thank you!

A First Friday tomorrow. Prayers for Vinny. Alcoholism is multi-generationally present in my paternal family line, popping up in my generation and the generation before. I would suspect it runs further back if researched.

It's strange you mention Matt Talbot, I was in a chapel the other day lighting a candle fir me da, when I glanced to my side and saw a poster advocating his intercession. I'll be back there again soon, God willing, and I'll mention your requests...
Welllll, Vinny's back home. It seems all the rehab centers are so full and since he didn't need detox they needed the space. They'll try to find him a place somewhere but it probably will take weeks. Thanks again for the prayers. Please intercede for him Matt Talbot!
Well, Matt Talbot is my go to guy! Vinny has been doing well and I have been worried about his getting work after getting arrested and fired from his job. So a couple of days ago in the novena I asked Matt, since he was such a hard worker if he would find work for Vinny. Part of the prayer in the novena: PRAYER FOR THE ADDICTED God of mercy, we bless You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who came to Him. Give Your strength to N., Your servant, bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold him/her in Your love and restore him/her to the freedom of God's children. Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Novena to Venerable Matt Talbot. Now his father who was livid and just about washed his hands of him, called that afternoon and gave Vin a job where he works in the welding department which Vinny has done at his last job. So Vinny will start work on Monday. If you could offer a prayer for all to go well, I would appreciate it! Thank you Matt Talbot! Thank you O Immaculate Conception!
