I believe that many of us here in the forum pray, and pray daily, but it is not always easy to "see" that as a reality.

I've had for some time the thought and the desire to suggest here in our MoG forum that we create a chain of perpetual prayer. Many of us pray every day, and we live in different continents and time zones.
I wonder if we could bring our individual prayer effort to form a community of prayer all together.

I'm thinking of two ways of expressing the participation which eventually could be integrated somehow in a calendar.

One way could be by prayers that we recite, the Rosary, the chaplet of Divine Mercy, the Stations of the Cross, etc.

The second way could be by attending Mass, spending time in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, or meditation, or lection divina, etc.

I'm thinking that we could have a calendar like those of perpetual adoration, where people sign up around the clock and write the screen name of the person who would be praying at a given time (same as we can see who is on line at a given time).

We could start off by putting together in a calendar the time that we actually pray or could commit to pray, whether daily, weekly or monthly, and then see what else we would need to add in order to have perpetually, 24/7 at least one member of the forum actually praying.

The primary prayer intention of this participation would be The Intentions of the Immaculate Heart of Mary -which includes the Church and the Pope, and of course the whole world. But by participating we would commit also to praying for each other and each other's personal intentions and family members.

I'm inserting a simple little poll to see if there is enough eco and interest from people to do something of this sort.

    What are your suggestions/ideas?
    Thank you!

I think this sounds great! I don't have a set working schedule so not sure what time slot would be best. I'm already committed to an adoration hour. wwould that count?

Yes a great gift, I hope it works out. It cause the forum to catch fire and be set in stone forever.

Prayer is the spiritual life blood of all that is of God. Without we wither and die. With it we become like the angels.

How I should like to see the forum fly!!

Most Holy Mother Mary this fourm is your little baby, teach us to love, teach to pray healp us to grow. Help your little child to grow in love, in prayer in Wisdom and in Fidelity to the Chair of Peter.

If all else fail, let us at least be always faithful, obedient and loving.

Very good idea indeed, especially after the disappointing vote here in Belgium, that permits euthanasia for children..... Only prayers etc. will bring good fruits. I am so tired after all those petitions.... I think they are doing it on purpose...
Let's pray too hard.... it will bring us at least to Paradise.

I'm up for this. Sorry, I also posted on the Luisa Picaretta thread a suggestion of starting a Living Clock among the forum members, so this might get confusing!

I think the Living Clock is a wonderful idea but it is specifically to do with the 24 hours of the passion (Luisa Picaretta). Some people might prefer a more generalised prayer chain involving Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Stations of the Cross or other devotions of their choosing, as mentioned by WCWTS. I would be on for either.

May I make a suggestion? I think a prayer chain may work,..who would be leading it? The other thing is Our Lord in the Hours of the Passion makes great promises,..one of them being for every word said in the Passion Jesus will give a "kiss"="a soul"
Since the prayers are done through the merging of our wills with His, this is a great way in co-operating in the salvation of souls,..and also a blanket of protection where these prayers are said.
OK, so maybe the best way to do this without complication is to go to the website, click on to living clocks and request your desire to join, that way anyone reading this Forum can participate. The priest will then send you the Hour you will begin with. When I first began almost two years ago, I was assigned the third hour of the Agony. I think I may have missed no more than 3 or 4 days. I stopped about a month ago because of personal stress that I have been under,..but I want to get back,..so I will request a new hr. to begin with. The way it works is you do the same hour for a week and every Friday you go to the next hour everyday for a week.
So then hopefully more will participate,..what do you think,..any ideas? I would be willing to do the extra prayers on this thread Prayer chain,... I will paste this comment also in the Luisa thread This way no one will be pressured into doing the Hours,..it is quite a commitment As Adoremus suggests it could be one or the other also,..WCWTS, what do you think?
