This is the second time that I was "reminded" to involve myself with this devotion. The first time was a serendipitous encounter. I had never heard of this devotion before and felt that it was something I was being led to do. So I jumped into reading up on everything I could get my hands on the subject of this devotion. I even made my own chaplet rosary. But...just like I always do.... got distracted and never got to do this devotion. Ellen, the EXACT same thing happened to me today. I have experienced a pull to the Holy Face devotion stronger than any other devotion I've discovered, and I'm actually a member of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Face...but I've been slacking for a while now. I've got my Holy Face chaplet sitting on my prayer table begging me to pray it each day but I put it off. The best I do is I pray the Golden Arrow prayer each day, which is related to it, and I have an 8×10 of the Holy Face on my prayer table that I honor. So I got that email from TAN and had the same reaction as you. I read the sample pages of the book online and I really want to buy it, because the Holy Face Manual I have really doesn't go into the history and apparitions much. I really want to completely immerse myself in it!
Oh, a cool little thing: A few months ago the Holy Face cross that I wore with my other medals disappeared off my chain and I was sure it had fallen off in a store. I could never find it. Well, when we packed everything up to move out of our house a couple weeks ago, my husband was vacuuming the empty living room, when all of a sudden a miraculous medal AND my Holy Face cross shot out of the vacuum and landed right in front of him! I'm very happy to have it back, although my son immediately stole it and put it on his own chain, haha.
I'm thinkin.... Heaven really wants the both of us ...and most likely many more who are unseen (you know who you are!!) to get moving on this particular devotion! Hey....Im not gonna argue with Heaven!
WOW! Thats more than just LUCK! Id say it was miraculous that these two medals were spewed out of your vacuum after you thought that they were lost...gone. I too had my gold Miraculous Medal ( that I had been wearing constantly for 20 yrs) go missing for quite awhile. I almost forgot about it until we were picking up the paint spattered newspapers that were laid down on the floor by painters painting our walls. There in the pile of old newspapers was my Miraculous Medal! Seconds from being thrown in the trash.
