Does this sound right I never heard of it before. Something is not setting right with me on this. A message sent by my church. Scripture Sisters: Field Trip Labyrinth Walk Thursday, January 19, 2023 On January 19th, After Mass... As part of our series on prayer, the Scripture Sisters plan to travel to the First United Methodist Church, 1203 West 7th St. Auburn, to walk/pray an indoor labyrinth. (Reservation have been made). The Labyrinth floor is cork based, so we will need to remove our shoes and walk in our socks. Attached to this email you will find some tips for praying a labyrinth.
These nuns sadly are "off the rails" if they are sponsoring this. Adoremus is right. Its very new age. Your instinct to question it is right on target.
I got a creepy feeling about it like it was pagan. It’s not Nuns doing it, it is the person in charge of religious Ed at our church.
Katfalls, if you want to be armed with a bit more knowledge about what the labyrinth is and why it is at odds with the Catholic faith, this might help: https://www.womenofgrace.com/blog/11445
