I have been lately have a longing to see the vast wonders of Nature; himalayan peaks, gobi desert, huge underground cave systems and their crystal eco-systems, so on.
I do realize, very few people have the money or technical aptitude to visit (and survive) a wide ,varied, long list of such destinations.
I read an essay by Rahner where he says resurrection ends in New Earth -not heaven per se, even tho Heaven will exist- so, the whole planet will be free from all death.
I have also come to appreciate animals and the mount of Zion image of the Bible indicates humans will have total taming over animals, even wild ones?
I admire adventurers and explorers, but I realize I cant be one for various grounded reasons:notworthy:
I do hope my admiration of the planet's nature can become a source of virtue and charity

You nailed it, xsantiagox! I'm reminded of the hopeful and holy anticipation of:

2 Peter3: 9 The Lord is not slow about his promise as some count slowness, but is forbearing toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! 13 But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
