    Prayer to Your Guardian Angel
    Angel of God,
    my guardian dear,
    To whom God's love
    commits me here,
    Ever this day,
    be at my side,
    To light and guard,
    Rule and guide.

    Amen.

    'From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their (the angels) watchful care and intercession. Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life. Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united to God

    It is a great talk. I heard it awhile ago. Opus angelorum has a lot of good material on devotion to our Guardian Angels.

    As a child I would leave room on my seat in class for my guardian angel every day. Then I slowly became a teenager and got a bit distracted by the world.. thank God that there were roots planted.. lets try to plant these same roots in our children and grandchildren.

    We used to do that too. Our angels seemed very real in my childhood and now again very real as I age.

    Today is the Feast of the Guardian Angels


    Below is Padre Pio’s personal prayer to his Guardian Angel that he prayed on a daily basis.

    "Oh, my Holy guardian Angel, care for my soul and my body. Enlighten my mind that I may better know the Lord my God and love Him with all my heart. Watch over me when I pray so I won't give into life's distractions.Sustain me with your counsel as I live as righteous Christian, and help me to do good works with a giving heart.
    Protect me from the cunning of the adversary, and lift me up when I am being tempted so I may win the fight against evil. Stay beside me at all times, never stop watching over me until I'm called back to the father's house, where we will praise together our Great God for all eternity.
    Amen."

    When I prayed the rosary this morning, the joyful mysteries I applied the role of the angels on each one .

    It seemed to me that the angels are great at paying attention to things and taking them spiritually seriously.

    This makes things much more intense and dramatic. They are great scene setters, they place everything in focus

    They miss nothing
