"According to legend, the line represents the blow with which St. Michael sent the devil to hell.

A mysterious imaginary line links seven monasteries, from Ireland to Israel. Is it just a coincidence? These seven sanctuaries are very far from each other, and yet they are perfectly aligned.

The Sacred Line of Saint Michael the Archangel represents, according to legend, the blow the Saint inflicted the Devil, sending him to hell.

In any case, it is surprising how well these sanctuaries are, in fact, aligned. But the details of such alignment are also astonishing: the three most important sites, Mont Saint Michel in France; the Sacra of San Miguel in Val de Susa; and the Sanctuary of Monte Sant’Angelo in the Gargano are all the same distance one from the other. Some say this is a reminder from the Holy Archangel: the faithful are expected to be righteous, walking the straight path.

If all this was not surprising enough, the Sacred Line also is perfectly aligned with the sunset on the day of the Northern Hemisphere’s Summer Solstice"

"On 16 July we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (which means “garden”). Carmel is especially associated with the Prophet Elijah. Elijah slew hundreds priests of the demon Baal, at Carmel. Jezebel would seek vengeance.

Mount Carmel is also the end point of what is called the Sword of St. Michael. If you draw a line to connect 7 shrines of St. Michael across Europe, where Michael appeared, you find a straight line from Skillig Michael, Ireland, down to, Mount Carmel. Mount Carmel is the “point” of Michael’s Sword, as it were.

A reader pointed out that the children of Fatima saw our Lady stop the angel, perhaps Michael, from striking the Earth with a sword."

Given the prominence of St Michael in the apparitions at Garabandal (Our Lady of Mt Carmel), it is fitting that the tip of St Michael's sword is at Mt. Carmel.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
All of the following happened ON July 16th...the feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel (from Fr. Z):

    1. In 1045 the Great Eastern-Western Schism began.
-According to one of the visionaries at Garabandal All Christians will be Catholic after the Miracle.

    2. In 1918 the family of the Tsar of Russia were cruelly slaughtered.
-At Fatima Our Lady asked us to pray for Russia. In 1918 the Communist revolution in Russia (warned at Fatima) is fulfilled. A new Communist aggression led by Russia is part of the prophesies from Garabandal. Garabandal is the fulfillment of Fatima.

    3. In 1945 the first nuclear weapon was detonated.
-Lucia of Fatima says that a nuclear war between Russia and the USA was averted because of the efforts of Pope St. John Paul II to fulfill Our Lady"s requests...

    4. In 2021 the Latin Mass is suppressed by the Pope.
    - It brings me great hope that this happened on Our Lady"s feast day. She will deal with it!

Our Lady of Carmel pray for us!

It is through Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (Garabandal) that we can avoid the punishment of a flaming sword (Chastisement) foreshadowed at Fatima

non sum dignus, Wow! Very Interesting about Saint Michael. I had the privilege of seeing the Sanctuary of Monte Sant’Angelo in the Gargan. It is about an hour north of Saint Padre Pio shrine, Saint Padre Pio shrine is about an hour north from Servant of God Lusia Pirraretta house, Lusia's house is about an hour north of St Nichols shrine( Santa Claus.) I went to all of them. Got relics from each one. At Saint Michaels I got a piece of cave rock where he appeared. It is the only shrine in the world that did not need to be blessed, because Saint Michael did it himself!

“I, your mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives.”

-The Second Message of Garabandal; June 18, 1965
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This brings our narrative to the times of the apparitions at Garabandal. Here, Saint Michael is first upon the scene. His appearances commencing June 18, 1961, preceded and prepared the way for those of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. The visionaries, aged 11 and 12 at the time, described him as distinguished, smiling and hearty; in age about nine years old.

Incidentally, it is not unexpected of Saint Michael to cast his appearance and age as similar to that of the young visionaries so as not to overwhelm them. This has been a recorded phenomenon in many other angelic visitations including those of Saint Catherine Laboure.

Throughout the period of the apparitions, Saint Michael brought Holy Communion to the visionaries on days when mass was unavailable in the village. It is worth recalling his instructions on reception of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Before receiving communion he requested of the children to say an Act of Contrition and before thanksgiving after reception he taught them to say the Anima Christi (“Soul of Christ”) of Saint Ignatius Loyola. When asked where the hosts they received had come from, Saint Michael responded that they were taken from tabernacles on earth because, “angels cannot consecrate.”

Saint Michael was instrumental throughout the apparitions appearing often at the side of the Blessed Mother and in the company of another angel who remained anonymous. He was the minister of the visible host in the “little miracle” and was the bearer of the Second Message of Garabandal on June 18, 1965 which he committed to Conchita in person. We do not have the opportunity here to recount in detail all the minor works of Saint Michael during the apparitions. We can only direct those interested to the original works on Garabandal contained on our website– www.garabandal.us -and available gratis.

It is interesting that in the book of Revelation there is a description of the Antichrist wounded by a sword, I do not know if this could have any relation to the role played by Saint Michael in the fight against the forces of evil.

The coat of arms for the Carmelite order.

Note the flaming sword at the top. It represents the prophet Elijah and how he challenged the prophets of baal....And God sent down fire from heaven to defeat the prophets of baal.

It also represents the part of the Carmelite rule below...
"The sword of the spirit, the word of God (cf. Eph 6:17), must abound (cf. Col 3:16) in your mouths and hearts (cf. Rom 10:8). Let all you do have the Lord’s word for accompaniment (cf. Col 3:17; 1 Cor 10:31)."
