http://www.ncregister.com/blog/pat-archbold/medjugorje-bombshell According to a letter sent from the Holy See to the Papal Nuncio in the US, Medjugorje meetings, conferences, and celebrations banned here.
Two weeks ago on a Sunday Ivan was to speak at a Parish in Rhode Island, but it was cancelled last minute. The friend who planned on going with me said something about a Bishop in Washington contacting the Pope and they said Ivan cannot speak anymore because it is not an approved apparition. I don't know what the whole story is but it would seem to me, this is not a good sign. Why after all this time would they put a stop to it ?
Then you watch the November 2nd apparition with Mirjana and it really makes you scratch your head.... something is happening
One English Bishop has just issued a statement within the last few days saying that the use of artificial contraception is a matter for individual conscience, the same bishop has a long term female companion and can apparently frequently be seen walking hand in hand with her. An English Archbishop has just stated that 'something must be done' about intercommunion because of the 'hurt caused'. The world is awash with priests and bishops teaching heterodoxy and heresy. 'Catholic' nations introduce 'Same Sex Marriage' with hardly a peep from Rome or the local bishops, Ireland introduces abortion with the protest of only one bishop and silence from Rome and what brings the wrath of the CDF down? Medjugorje! While not disputing the CDF's right to issue such a letter, it does seem that the Vatican has some strange priorities.
Looking at the letter sent out by Archbishop Vigano, the key question is who is really behind this. Archbishop Müller at the CDF on an individual level? The CDF collectively? Pope Francis himself? How does this square with the place of honour given to the Medjugorje representatives in Rome on October 13, or recent photos with Cardinal Dolan? Is this another case of 'cardinal against cardinal' (that's a rhetorical question, given Cardinal Schönborn's repeated hospitality to the visionaries in Vienna Cathedral)? And if the basis for the letter is the 1991 pronouncement, why did the CDF wait until now to move against Ivan? Just caution while the Commission is still working, or more??? Something really doesn't add up here...
Along the lines of 'cardinal against cardinal', try throwing this into the mix regarding the rise of Cardinal Maradiaga, another open Medjugorje supporter: http://ministryvalues.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2018&Itemid=125 My 'power struggle' radar is flashing here ...
The US Medjugorje decision is not the bad news it might seem. The commission is still discerning a huge body of evidence. I think that this is good news. If the commission approves Medjugorje as authentic, as I hope it does, it has to be be absolutely water-tight and without prejudice. If it is leaning towards approval, any suggestion of implicit approval could weaken the final ruling. It is hard to accept because these visits and apparitions in churches have continued unchallenged for so long. This site puts a helpful explanation on it: crownofstars.blogspot.com It is a quite a test for supporters of Medjugorje. Now is a good time to pray for our shepherds and to fast and pray.
Steve, I have missed this and, as I live in England, I would like to know which Bishop has made a statement about contraception. Also, which of our Archbishops made a statement about inter-faith communion. The information is not publicly available. I have searched for it.
It was Bishop Conry (no surprise there) and it was Archbishop Longley (my own) who made the statement about 'intercommunion'. They all seem to be now openly saying what they have only hinted at until recently. http://protectthepope.com/?p=9018 http://protectthepope.com/?p=8097 This entry is also interesting: http://protectthepope.com/?p=9070
SteveD, you hit the nail on the head......... the confusion/apostasy that prophecy speaks so often of is becoming more clear by the day. Much like Romans Chapter 1 spoke of. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; 21 for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct. 29 They were filled with all manner of wickedness, evil, covetousness, malice. Full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, Read more: http://ewtn.com/ewtn/bible/search_bible.asp#ixzz2jubLBnuX
Peter B., no doubt the sowing of confusion is manifesting itself more every day. I also would agree that the divisions of clergy is becoming more clear. Not sure Pope Francis can make peace even amongst his own house at this time.
Seems like the gay movement. They remained behind closed doors till the last decade and now are open and in-your-face about their homosexuality. This is how it will work with the clergy in apostasy. They will soon all be unmasked and they will be the greatest persecutors of those who remained orthodox in their faith.
Exactly, Peter. It sure isn't the Pope. I was sitting in St. Louis with Ivan at lunch right after the conclave. He was exhausted and had flown directly from Argentina to St. Louis and he told his story about going to Argentina right before the conclave. He said the Cardinal welcomed him with a hug and kiss and said for him to go to all the corners of Argentina to bring the message of our Lady Queen of Peace. He was enthusiastic and caring and then went off to the conclave and became Pope. The people of Argentina were ecstatic of course!
I read somewhere in this forum that you (Mothersuperior7) had also lunched one day with Ivan and, apparently, you heard Ivan saying that Pope Francis is a good Pope and that Our Lady told him that Pope Francis is Her Pope ? Perhaps I misread this and I do not remember anymore in which tread you said this (if, of course, this message came from you). Could you help me out please ? Thanks a lot.
I can't help but think of the word received recently by pelianito saying "Do not be alarmed when the ark and the altar are taken from your midst". Some, including myself, have taken the ark to refer to Our Lady. I thought perhaps the apparitions were coming to an end but maybe it refers to this latest move. http://pelianito.stblogs.com/2013/0...e-altar-and-the-ark-are-taken-from-you-midst/
It seems to me that this will be going the way of Father Maciel and the Legion of Christ, Father Corapi, and others. So many Catholics have looked for leaders to take us back to the basics of our faith. But the devil influences those leaders to take steps beyond the original solid messages, increasing the fame and worldly influence of the person who has been the vehicle for the message, rather than the message itself. Dividing us is what the devil does, and that is the one common thread in all of these situations. The vehemence with which those who support Medjugorgie and those who opose it can argue is one indication of the devil's influence. I pray I'm wrong, but I'm afraid I'm not.
