I think in this Papacy we have no hope of it being revealed as part of the Prophecy is happening now within the church so why would they reveal it. God please help us to do what needs to be done.

    QUOTE]

I don't think it will be formally revealed in totality, but I think it has been revealed at different times....one part by the Vatican ( formally) and the second part by pope BENEDICT when he compared it to Akita. By doing it this way, they can say that the secret was revealed. The part that was not revealed was the apostasy that starts at the top. That too is no longer a secret....as I believe that it is happening now and therefore it is no longer a secret...IMHO .

    The Third Secret of Fatima

    Our Lady of Akita

The Revelations of Our Lady of Akita Japan. And also a version of the Third Secret which was published by a german magazine. The first paper read:

The message of Our Lady of Akita

In 1984, just before retiring at a venerable age, the diocesan Bishop of Niigata, Bishop John Shojiro Ito, in consultation with the Holy See, wrote a pastoral letter in which he recognized as being authentically of the Mother of God, the extraordinary series of events that had taken place from 1973 to 1981 in a little lay convent within his diocese, at Akita, Japan. Cardinal Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, in June 1988, approved the Akita events as "reliable and worthy of belief".

The Messages of Akita and Fatima are essentially the same.

In fact the Philippine ambassador to the Vatican, in 1998 spoke to Cardinal Ratzinger about Akita and the Cardinal "personally confirmed to me that these two messages of Fatima and Akita are essentially the same".

Hence in Akita we are dealing with a Church approved intervention of the Blessed Virgin Mary as in as Lourdes, La Salette, or Fatima.

Only a few people know of Our Lady of Akita but the message, like that of Fatima, is a specific warning of worldwide chastisement. The chastisement threatened is truly terrible – far worse than the possibility of annihilation of several nations prophesied at Fatima. Akita is consistent with prophecies of Scripture.

The first message received by Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa on June 6, 1973, was a call for prayer and sacrifice for the glory of the Father and salvation of souls. The second message, August 3, 1973, was for prayer, penance and courageous sacrifices to soften the Father's anger.

The third message on October 13, 1973, the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima is as follows:

A Terrible Punishment ... Greater than the Deluge

"As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before.

Fire will fall from the Sky.

“Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.

The Survivors will envy the dead.

“The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.

The Devil will infiltrate the Church

The work of the Devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops.

The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres.

    Altar stripped and Churches sacked.

“The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

"The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."

My conclusion is that the secret may have not been revealed as it should have been, but if you put these pieces together, I think we actually have had the third secret of Fatima revealed.

I agree Beth it's been revealed in dribs and drabs Barr the Apostasy but I do think there is a bit more too.
Fr Malachi Martin said there was a part so terrifyingly awful within the secret and we know that he also spoke about Satan working his way to the top of the Church but he never said this was part of it nor did he say it wasn't but it leaves me to believe there is also more. He really stressed on this terror.

But at least we do have hope within the Rosary and the Divine Mercy we can lessen it with these weapons Our Lady gave to us. So say it believe and receive it.
As Our Lady will triumph as so will we with her.

Does anyone here ever pray to Pope St. John XX111? At best, he ignored Our Lady of Fatima's request and at worst he was scornful of the apparition and messages.

It looks like the message of the third secret has been released in dribs and drabs. I sometimes wonder whether it was the abuse scandals that Sr. Lucy had so much difficulty putting in writing. Then, I remind myself that Our Lady wouldn't have burdened young children with knowledge of such a scandal unless she used words that communicated the message without scandalising the children.

Anyway, I think that the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul was a wake up call to him and that his belated Consecration was acceptable and the reward was the fall of the Soviet Union which is all a belated and somewhat defective Consecration merited, especially considering how much devotion to the Rosary had declined.

I read somewhere back a few years ago that Our Lady had told someone (can't remember who) that if the Church had turned to her and prayed faithfully, she the Mother of Jesus would have helped the Church eradicate the impurity of the sins which we now call Church Scandals. I remember she was asking Priests and Bishops to lead by their example. And she would accomplish the outcome without everything being exposed to the world.

When you think about it, wasn't it at that time the Statues of Blessed Mother were moved out of many Catholic Churches.

I will share a personal testimony that I am almost too scared to share, If you don't mind Blessed Mother.

I was attending a certain Catholic Church at the time, and the statue of Blessed Mother was put in a corner out of plain sight in the Church. There was no holder for candles to be lit by anyone who might like to light a candle by the statue. This was very upsetting to me, and I prayed Blessed Mother would be reinstated to a more appropriate place in the Church. She had been banished for some years as far as I know at that time.

Just a couple of weeks later, what was my joy and delight to go in the Church and Blessed Mothers' statue was back in a more traditional position with a place next to it for people to light candles. There are always candles burning there even up to today.

And what happened after that. It was about six weeks later that I went to Holy Mass one Saturday morning and the news broke that the parish Priest was gone. He had been arrested for using internet sites to view child pornography. He had been doing this for some time before he was arrested, and the assistant Priest who lived at the same presbytery had no idea he was doing this. He never touched any child; but the use of the sites was enough to get him arrested.

I think Blessed Mother brought this about. Not to be mean to this poor Priest; but if he pays for his indiscretions in this life, please God he will be saved for eternity. And of course we don't know if he might have gone to the next sinful stage of touching children inappropriately, if he had not been stopped at that point.

God forgive me for sharing this; but I hope it will encourage people to pray for Blessed Mother to help in our crisis of Faith these days.

His late consecration might have migiated things, but I'm not convinced that it was enough. Sadly, the spread of communism is still ongoing and the apostasy of the church has been going on for awhile now.

A form of Communism is on the rise again, albeit not identical to what was practised in the Soviet Union. There's no denying, however, that the inevitable world war was averted by the fall of the Soviet Union. People are free to practice the faith in all or almost all of the former Soviet satellite States. Unfortunately, people in countries who were not restricted in the practice of the faith became complacent and lax in their beliefs. We can't blame Russia for that. Perhaps we got all the reward we were due.

Delours...wasn't it pope john XXXIII that called the children from Fatime prophets of doom? He didn't like our lady's message and would not reveal it in 1960 when Lucia had requested it be released.

He made some oblique reference to prophets of doom but he didn't specifically mention Fatima in the same sentence. We know for definite that he neither consecrated Russia nor released the third secret. He wanted to usher in changes in the Church and focused on Vatican 11 instead. I would never feel prompted to pray to him. Would you?

Thank you Julia, it is good to know he was caught and without doubt would've proceeded to worse things.

Eh I would most definitely not. And I do not think I would to any Pope after him, they all had the chance to do what was asked of them in full and correct. But none did.

No I would pray to him....maybe for him....he ignored a mandate from Our Lady. I'm sure heaven was not too happy about that or the decline of the Catholic Church with the changes that came with Vatican II. Nope...wouldn't want to be in those fishermans shoes. He broke his net and lost many of the faithful. God help him.
