Ya, the visionaries have been forbidden by the Vatican to give public talks for the time being. Hiking Apparition Hill was much easier than I expected, even with arthritis in my right hip. I brought hiking boots up past my ankles and my poles. we hiked on the only sunny day we had. I had put broad spectrum CBD (trace free) on it and took an Aleve first. Just being there was a tremendous grace!!! Watch the documentaries (Apparition Hill, Blue Cross, etc) and read books by Wayne Weibel and interviews by Mirjana and Vicka if you are considering a trip. Every evening at 5:40, Our Mother comes and stands over St James and blesses the village. The 5pm rosary pauses at that time to honor her presence. While it rained most every day of our trip, perhaps God was washing us of our baggage and stresses. We never let it be a problem. All had hooded raincoats. One traveler made a joke of it, steady drizzle! Often if would start to rain as soon as we walked outside. some days it just poured!! Of course, this time of year.... Don't ever let anyone tell you the village is commercialized. The village people are truly dependent on pilgrims. There are family owned Pansions and souvenir shops everywhere for a reason. Many families have their own vineyard, for their own guests. Not only are they dependent, they are tasked to take care of pilgrims. It is their joy and life. We were very blessed to attend a talk by Fr Leon! What a treasure he is. He is also very funny. It was a joy for me to meet the production crew of Stella Mar as well as the staff of MaryTV. Our guide is married to Rose of "Tea with Rosie". Franjo is a wealth of information, having grown up with the older visionaries, working in the tobacco fields. Thank you. I have been there twice and received so many blessings and help for my spiritual life. I'm hoping my brother will go again someday soon. I miss Mirjana and Vicka...their joy and spiritual beauty. I'm sad they aren't allowed to give talks although it may be a blessing for them. More time for silence and preparation for what lies ahead.
So missed going there this year and last year. I didn't realise you could travel there with a negative PCR. Hopefully I will be able to travel next year. I have been there 18 times. Thanks for sharing your experience there and the words of Fr Leon.

It is not because men meddle that God's Will cannot be done. I learned a few years ago that in the time of the first covenant, many high priests were put in place by the governing bodies at the time. Apparently this is documented in the work of the historian Josephus Flavius. I know that not everyone cares for the books of Maria Valtorta, but I'll share a beautiful thing revealed in those books. The high priest in place who welcomed the Virgin into the Temple was named by Herod. In the MV books, we see that he was particularly pious and solemn and he recognized the Virgin's exceptional spiritual nature. When she reached the age limit set by the law to stay in the Temple, the high priest told her that he would prefer she stay because her prayers purified the Temple, but that he had to respect the law that said virgins had to leave and marry at a certain age. He prayed for guidance on how to find her a husband (she was an orphan then and so the high priest became the father figure who gave her away) and was inspired to ask all men from the house of David to bring a branch from a fruit tree with their name engraved. He prayed God to show him the spouse designated by Him for the Virgin - he got his answer when the branch brought by St Joseph flowered and so he called him to wed the Virgin Mary. It seems to me that Pope Francis has defended Medjugorje too. If he loves Our Lady, God can guide him. So yes, loving prayers for our Pope are always necessary. God will have the last word with him, not men.

I am very sorry about my rants. I don't believe in the validity of Medjugorje but of course I don't know the full truth. Maybe Eastern Europe is a refuge indeed, as long as one can still fly without being shot. I have seriously been thinking about a move to Eastern Europe, we have close friends from Croatia. Medjugorje, is of course in Bosnia but culturally and geographically close to Croatia. I would give a lot to be in a country with 'no shot required' right now. Maybe Croatia and Bosnia are protected. I don't know. Dubrovnik is very beautiful. We visited there during our Medjugorje trip in 2014. At which airport did you land in Europe upon arrival? Was a 'shot' required?

No shots required regardless to get to Medjugorje! Period, full stop! We all had to show paper documentation proving neg test at the Bosnian border and Paris airport returning home. No biggy. We flew Detroit to Paris Paris to Zagreb Zagreb to Dubrovnik Bussed to Medjugorje
Michael don't be hard on yourself. Many of us struggle with Medj. I do think Eastern Europe may be the last bastion. Hungary especially is stepping up.
My husband is 75% Czech. We've wanted to get out there for a visit, but it's not looking likely in the foreseeable future.
