The priests did not accompany them in their polygamy or idol worship. They accepted the truth as revealed to them in the tilma that our Lady was mother of the true God. How far the church has fallen with this pachamama scam idolatry. Shame on Pope Francis, shame on the bishops and priests who participated in that pagan ceremony. May they repent before the True God and put on sackcloth and ashes for their sacrilegious behavior.
to be fair polygamy was the least problem of meso-american religions. aztec, inca and mayan (the 3 main empires) engaged in human sacrifice. even today in Andes region they keep finding ice-mummies of kids who were bound up and left there to die of exposure. as a side note, local communists like the incan empire because lands were all in common-however in truth the nobility decided every way the locals should behave in this region and non-incans were seen as beasts

The tilma and the images upon it are so realistically prophetic (including the fact that the tilma has remained without decay all this time), that the scientist who investigated them abandoned his atheism and became a Catholic. All this scientifically proven reality and such a time to turn to the superstition of the Pachamama demon.
