I was praying to Our Lady the other night because I was a little worried and concerned about the future. All that is happening in the World and in the Church. So many dark indicators from Catholic Prophecy, Apparitions and Locutions.

I take little down hearted bouts of this , it comes and goes. Heart in mouth times. :)

So i thought to myself, 'How would Mary handle this? How did she handle things like this when she was alive?'

So off course she did have many challenges of danger and peril. The one that sprang at once to mind was the Flight into Egypt. The angel appeared to St Joseph in a Dream and warned them that the mass murdered, King Herod was looking to kill the baby Jesus and they had to flee at once to a far foreign land, to Egypt as Refugese to escape in a big, big hurry.

Well I asked myself how Mary coped? What did she think? What was her emotional state? ..and how does it differ from my own at times of trouble? How did she cope and do better?

Well it seems to me that Mary would of course have been very, very concerned at saving the baby Jesus, this was her vocation , if you like, to take care of the child.

But also she would have had complete confidence and trust in the Providence of God. Being concerned is not the same as Fretting and worrying.

Why then do I fret and worry and Mary never did?

I think it was because Mary had totally surrendered to the plans of God and I have not. I have my own big plans for retirement. I have stored up treasure for tomorrow. Mary never did this. She lived in the Eternal now.

So if I am to stop Fretting and Worrying I have to surrender my plans for the future and give them up and accept God's Plans, which are probably very different than mine.

    No easy task.

Star of the Sea, guide and help us.

I am trying to maintain peace of mind and soul while at the same time considering we may have to flee if vaccines are mandated here in Canada. It's in discussion! Our resident dictator Trudeau is as bad or worse than France's Macron. And Canadian's are just so complacent that enough aren't fighting this yet. I know from Telegram that many are going to Mexico because of this. We've thought about going North but being totally isolated isn't my thing especially with young grandkids. And my son with BPD is a major issue. I am content to stay here and be at peace with the decision but my hubby wants to go North or to the USA, to a 'red' state. So like you Padraig, I am finding this "no easy task" either. We continue with our rosaries and prayers. Every once in a while it all catches up though and I wonder and worry some about the future...

I hear Boris Johnston the Prime Minister of the UK is to withdraw ALL Virus Restrictions in a , 'Surprise Announcement', in about 8 days time. So they will, in effect, be declaring the virus thing over. They will be the first National Government in the world to do so.

This will make Governments like those in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and China look very, very silly indeed for their mad, bad, panic attacks.

I am really looking forward to it. :):)

And if one believes the numerous traditions of the Holy Family's journeys in Egypt, they were uprooted frequently due to Herod sending spies to find out their location!

    Holy Family, pray for us!

One thing I notice from the accounts from the Mystics about the Journey of the Holy Family is that every where they went and whoever they met they brought love and healing and joy.

This reminds me that some people are life Refridgerators and some people are like Ovens. Some bring nothing but a big chill and decay others the warm smell of baking bread and home. Some people take the warmth out of our hearts and others put the warmth of love in. Even when times are bad and they have to hot foot it. :)

It can be a lot harder to bring people love in times of trouble. The Holy Family teach us how to do so.

I think people are starting to get tired of being afraid. A bit like children who get tired of their toys and want to throw them all away. They want to come quickly to the end of a Horror Picture they have created themselves in their own hearts and minds.

They are deciding they don't want to be afraid anymore.

I guess Boris has to break the mould if he is to divert people's anger after his party life at Downing St during the lockdown was revealed. There is a silver lining in every cloud. I have to say fair play to the British media for demanding accountability. Politicians in this country can do what they like.

Is there a general easing in the covid agenda? Its confusing me.
There's this massive drawback from Boris on the one hand, then there's also news of Japan pulling back. And leaks coming out from differing places the world over, conceding ground.
I really can't work it out...
Are they letting things sink in for a little bit? Then will they push again? Is Boris not doing what he's told by his handlers? Will they oust him? Have they gained enough ground for this year? Times running out for them, this winter. April will see a change in the weather. Will they push hard again after the summer?
I don't believe they've come this far to let us off the hook.....

We just don't know. It reminds me of the words of St John, that the Children of the Light do their deeds in the Light and the Children of the Dark do their Deeds in the Dark.

We can only guess what the Children of the Dark are up to...

    John 3:19

    For God So Loved
…18Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.…

    True. Very true.

I was thinking that they may have pulled back somewhat, for fear of uniting the masses, and then losing control.
Maybe they didn't think so many would comply so quickly.
And conversely, so many - particularly in a lot of European countries, have taken to the streets. Maybe this has freaked them out a bit.
I suppose we'll know soon enough.
I just wonder what they'll come up with next...

I love Our Blessed Lady for a Billion reasons.

But one of them is this. Imagine you are walking through a very Dark Forest. ..or a set of Misty Mountain..a place unknown to you. Night is falling and you come to a fork in the road. One road leads on upwards, a daunting road of trial another leads downwards and seems so easy, a good solid road well travelled.

Often in life when I come to this fork in the road and wonder which road to travel my eyes turn to Mary... and I ask one simple question..what would Mary do? What Road would Mary take?

Then I know the road I should take, no matter how hard.

I may not like that road, I may not want to take it. I may even falter and take the wrong road anyway. But at least I know the road I should take or should have taken. It's no longer dark and I am no longer confused.

    My eyes are opened.

Almost always the right road is the hardest road. The upward road, the road that leads upwards to Calvary and the Cross..and the Mother of Sorrows walks ahead beckoning us on...

There is no Road heavenwards that does does not pass beneath the Cross.

Wonderful post. (The hymn is exquisite) Jesus told Sr Josefa to "choose what costs you most" and I consider these words my guide. Sadly I don't always follow them. Our Lady told her to pray "Lord You see how much this costs me. But Thou first and I afterward."

As Catholics are we to ignore if a black cat crosses you on the road which happened to me today, normally I would ignore such superstition, but today I have not forgotten it.

If the UK is ending all restrictions, then I feel we are in store for the next phase they need to rollout to get their digital Id and digital currency out to us all. What this is I don't know but it can't be good, war, financial crash are all being mentioned here and there.

Saying that our prayers are being listened to and there must be so much prayer now with all this tsunami of evil. Also, as evil is being fully revealed more and more must be turning to God. What a secret weapon we have. We won't be abandoned.

Our Lady is a very hard act to follow.

I love her for this too.:)

She constantly gives you something very, very, very high indeed to aim at and she never ever disappoints... what's not to like?

Our Lord comments that the children of this world are cuter in their generation than the ones of the next.

I have noticed in Secular commentators that they feel a certain bleak agenda is being exposed. For instance since the virus started the ten richest people in the world are now twice as wealthy in a very brief time...
