I've just now seen a video of Patrick Stewart dressed as a cowboy and singing "Rawhide":X3::eek:

so yes, we are definitely in The End Times.

    This alone proves it.

And if I were a drinking woman, I'd be slamming down my 5th mixed drink after that horrific experience.

    Thank you Lynn,
A very good, well presented and meticulously researched article by Mark.
I, like Mark, and probably most members of MoG forum, have a foreboding feeling regarding what awaits mankind in the near future.
May God encompass us all in His Mercy!

And may God grant us perseverance and the graces necessary for our prayer life to remain strong and to increase, to protect the graces, merited by prayer that God has bestowed on us.
I have been shown recently, how conscientious the evil one is; it seems his patience has no bounds, regarding those striving for holiness or under the mantle of Our Lady.

The evil one constantly stalks those striving for holiness and even tempts (with holy things!!, it seems, such as the want to bring justice to a situation) the devil awaits for a moment of weakness and the poor victim can find themselves believing they are doing a holy and just thing, like advocating justice and pointing out indiscretions , only to realise, after the fact, that they have not only hurt another soul deeply but have offended God who was gifting them with a holy suffering which they rejected.
This has recently happened to me. May God Have mercy on my soul. And may He Bless abundantly those that I have hurt.

This is why, prayer, penance and sacrifice are so important, in the first place but more so after gifts are received! to protect the graces God has so graciously bestowed.

Divine Mercy of Jesus I trust in Thee.

It is through these trials permitted by God that we grow in His strength and holiness, without which we would mist likely fall into complacency and idleness. I pray each day for perseverance and to live in His Will - not my will but His be done. The enemy doesn’t understand how much he is actually helping us to come closer to God. Thanks be to God who allows these trials for our growth! You are so correct in saying “prayer, penance and sacrifice” and stay very close to our Mother Mary. God bless you.

agree on prayer and penance and I’m sure included in sacrifice is a day (or two) each week to fast. And even if yiu can’t fast traditionally from food… seek to fast from something else … perhaps TV, internet, etc.

I also would add, get sacramentals in your home and on you and family. Holy water, blessed sacred objects, medals, blessed salt, etc. it’s truly time to break out all “weapons “. Especially the rosary. Bless your kids, grandkids, their Homes etc. We are in the battle. Peace. We know the end of this war - God wins.

Our priest gave a very thoughtful homily last evening for this Sunday Feast of the Baptism of Jesus. He said most of us were baptized as infants so to a certain extent we did not have a “say”. Now of course our baptism forever changed us… infused grace and wiped away stain of our original sin. It truly in a sense, is our first “funeral”. The “old man” dies in Christ and rises up out of the waters as a new person. But, father said, especially in these days as we grow, we need to in a sense renew our baptism. ( he was very careful to say - you don’t get re-baptized) but as early catechumens in Church, we need to learn the faith, grow into followers of Christ…to truly take on the spirit of Christ within us. He shared that in the early Church, this period of catechumenate was months of preparation…maybe even years. One truly had to be “ready”. Fr suggested that we take on this spirit now in these days.

He then really moved me…his spirit and clear love for Christ and the Church came through very passionately. He talked about this world…the lockdowns, the fear mongering, the blaming (vac vs unvaccinated, etc), and he said we replaced faith and God with the “religion” of science. We think we are God’s… that somehow we have the power over all what is going on, And then this was further exacerbated when the Church’s closed down in pandemic and/or like now in someplace restricting Masses. He was pretty upset… saying the Church declared its self “non-essential”. It agreed with secular authorities who cast it in this way. So, grocery stores, healthcare facilities, emergency services were declared essential ….. but the Church and it’s priests were declared nonessential. The world said and Church accepted that allowing access to and bringing the Eucharist to people was not essential to life. How sad…how myopic… the Eucharist is the source of the most important life…. Eternal life! He brought it back to baptism…. Remember the “old man” dies in baptism….and in our second funeral (when we really die)… we are bird again in…a new into eternal life. And this is what this pandemic, TPTB are after. Isolating us, makin* us non essential, cutting us off from the life giving waters of baptism and Eucharist.

He ended his homily saying that our deacon is in final stages of life due to cancer in hospital. When Father as his pastor came to see him and administer last rights, the hospital would not allow him in… said he was not family and not allowed. Father pleaded saying he is needed more than any doctor at thus moment. Continued to be refused. Well he found a way in….let’s say through prayer and ingenuity….. but think about it…Father who was bringing the Eucharistic Jesus to a dying parishioner and Deacon of the Church was told no…. This is not essential.

I’m more motivated today to follow his advice…. Renew my baptism, strengthen my faith, pray.

    Peace

A prayer written by a Priest - a renewal of Baptism:

Oh, Most Holy Trinity, as soon as I open my eyes to the light of this day, I ask that You renew the consecration with which You consecrated me to You in my Baptism. I want to renew this Consecration and the total surrender of all that I am, repeating together with Mary our Mother: “Fiat Mihi, Let it be done to me according to your Word”, and together with Jesus in the moment of His Incarnation: “Here I am Father, I come to do Your Will, and in the garden, “Not my will but Yours be done”. Because I want, as they did, to live only and always in Your Will, and that It be my Life, my nourishment and my all.

Mark has another post, The Millstone.
    https://www.markmallett.com/blog/the-millstone/

In April 2020, I had a stunning dream that was more like a vision — and I’ve only had a few of these in my lifetime. I saw from earth an object like a huge, black and round “object” approaching in space that began to break up and hail down fireballs. I was then taken outside of our orbit where I saw all the planets in rotation and watched as this huge celestial object approached, chunks of it breaking off and meteors falling to the earth as it passed by. I have never seen anything so incredible, so stunning, and it remains vivid in my mind’s eye. In fact, the Lord has been warning me of such an event for years now but never so clearly.

Again, on the secular scene...a recent movie called Moonfall (streaming now on Prime) shows a similar scenario, but the explanation given in this movie is one I think the enemy might suggest to us, as it is a worldview already accepted by some. It is an anti-Christ message. Was a very interesting movie.

The modern movie seems to have a format of sorts. Even the ones that are for kids... The invariably contain:
A know-it-all, funky and very hip GAY friend of the main character.

The main character is often flawed but thru the course of the movie he (and especially if its a she) is brought to an enlightenment; which is usually sexual/sexualised.

There is usually a confident and witty person from a minority background.
