Great message and I must say I really love Fr. Calloway. Not because he is charismatic and a great preacher, but because of his history and his story. As he has told it… saved by Our Lady from the brink of death and now a priest! Powerful.

The 15 promises of the Virgin Mary to those who pray the Rosary! (That is the Dominican Rosary)
The Blessed Virgin Mary made these promises to Saint Dominic and to all who follow that “Whatever you ask in the Rosary will be granted.”

WHAT DO THE 15 PROMISES OF THE ROSARY MEAN?

Considering the busy lives that people have today, it’s easy to forget the profound lessons that the Catholic faith teaches us. Even though you might be going to Mass on a regular basis and you are praying constantly, you should reflect more often to the core principles of living a spiritual life. Growing in holiness it’s not an easy task for sure. It requires dedication and investing thoughts and attention in what you are thinking and feeling.

If you feel like you’ve lost your motivation and you’re no longer in a healthy place at the moment, it would be best to sit back and remember why the Blessed Virgin Mary made the promises to Saint Dominic. The fifteen promises that She left behind still guide people through life when they feel lost. Reciting the Holy Rosary is helpful, but it becomes even stronger when trying to deeply understand the meaning of each promise. Get your trinity cross next to you whenever you want to dig deeper into what the promises mean and how they could impact your life.

1- Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall receive signal graces.

The first and foremost promise refers to people who choose to recite the Rosary. This is a sign of faithfulness that will be later rewarded with signal graces. These graces are meant to give people a sense of sanctification in their lives. This may be the most important of all promises because it introduces people to the world of union with the Lord and the Lady. Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary can be shown through the faithful recitation of the Rosary.

2- I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary.

As a continuation of the first promise, the second one reassures people that, while they recite the Rosary, they will receive special protection. This makes believers the direct beneficiaries of Virgin Mary’s role as an advocate for God’s grace. Those who take a piece of their time and dedicate it to reciting the Rosary will be blessed with more care from Virgin Mary, as She will focus Her divine power on those who pray. Again, true devotion is fully rewarded.

3- The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.

The third promise goes even deeper compared to the first. For those who fear death and the place they will reach afterward; for those who fear they might be governed by vice, sin or struggling with heresies, this promise erases any terrifying thought by saying that those who pray the Rosary will be protected against all these evil aspects. This promise has a root connection with the next one, preaching fervent prayer in exchange for holy protection.

4-The Rosary will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire for eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

This promise is meant to give people the power to carry on with their lives, by receiving the mercy of God. Even though men are flawed, and they might be attracted by vanities, once they open their eyes and truly see the meanings of the Rosary, they will develop an appetite for sanctification and eternal things, thus rising in virtue.

5-The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, shall not perish.

Those who respect and pray the Rosary will never be left singlehanded. This is the conclusion that people can extract from the fifth promise, which says that whoever recites the Rosary, won’t be forced to beg for help to avoid perishing. All those who recite the promises will be assisted with Our Lady’s protection.

6- Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life.

This promise has a strong connection with the first ones. It says that the men who are devoted to reciting the Rosary will be granted with protection against misfortune. They will draw God’s mercy upon them, thus not being pressured by hard luck. The promise can also be analyzed in the Sacred Scripture, where the burden is described as lighter for those who shall recite the Rosary.

7- Whoever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

In connection to the previous promise, this one states that those devoted to the Rosary will have a chance to repent, no matter what. Those who pray the Rosary cannot be deprived of salvation, through receiving the sacraments of the Church. Regardless of what happens, the ones who recite the Rosary will get their final repentance.

8- Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plentitude of His graces; at the moment of death, they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.

By praying the Rosary, men will get the chance to enjoy the life of God even after death. By simply devoting yourself to the promises of the Rosary, you are granted access to a tremendous quantity of graces, including this one: enjoying the merits of the saints in paradise. The death of a person who recites the Rosary will be holy.

9- I shall deliver from Purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.

Our Lady will fight for those who prayed the Rosary in their lives. When they wait in the Purgatory, Virgin Mary will direct all efforts towards getting them out of it and contributing to them leading an afterlife of holiness. This promise enables people to a purgatorial cleansing after death.

10- The faithful children of the Rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in Heaven.

Derived from the very first promises, the tenth promise says that those who pray the Rosary will be forever appreciated in Heaven, where they will receive the holiest place. By reciting the Rosary, people become closer to God and can sit closer to him while in Heaven. The glory mentioned in this promise is a spiritual one.

11- You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.

This promise depicts the Virgin Mary as the true Mediatrix of the Graces. Those who recite the Rosary will have their wishes granted, as long as they respect God’s will. The spiritual requests that are truly good for the soul and meet the goals of salvation will be granted by Our Lady when we pray the Rosary

12- All those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities.

Those who promote and propagate reciting the Holy Rosary as a good practice will be aided by Our Lady in all necessities, including material ones. If the requests are made according to the will of God, Virgin Mary will respect them. Everyone who dedicates time to propagating the Holy Rosary is a true example of those who the Holy Mother protects.

13- I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.

Our Lady promises people who pray the Holy Rosary protection during both life and death. Moreover, Virgin Mary promises Her assistance in having all saints in the Heaven to contribute to their wellbeing in the afterlife, as they are part of the celestial court.

14- All who recite the Rosary are my sons and daughters, and brothers and sisters of my only Son Jesus Christ.

By praying the Holy Rosary, people are being part of the history of Jesus Christ’s salvation. Without reciting the promises, people stray further away from the Lord and Lady. Through praying, the Lady becomes our Holy Mother and Jesus Christ, our Holy Brother.

15- Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

Reciting the Rosary means that you were predestined to encounter salvation somewhere in your path. You will receive God’s grace both during life and death, by dedicating your life to the Rosary. Devotion to the promises ensures living a life far away from sin, thus bringing people closer to God and sending their souls to the road to salvation.

All the promises focus on devoting your life faithfully on the rosary. This way, you will gain direction in your life and you will obtain God’s graces, that shall help you in everything you do. Those who focus on these words of consecration are closer and closer to God and they live a holier life.

Our Holy Mother will guide you through anything as long as you pray the Rosary, but you need to be faithful to the rosary! Its that simple!

TO SAINT BRIDGET OF SWEDEN (1303-1373)

    1. ”I will grant peace to their families."!
    2. ”They will be enlightened about the divine Mysteries."
    3. ”I will console them in their pains and will accompany them in their work."
    4. ”I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my divine Son or the sanctification of their souls."
    5. ”I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives."
    6. ”I will visibly help them at the moment of their death-- they will see the face of their mother."
    7. ”I have obtained this grace from my divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation and joy.

TO MARIE CLAIRE OF KIBEHO, RWANDA (1961-1994)

    • With the recitation of the Seven Sorrows Rosary, the hardest hearts shall change, if you pray it for yourself or for others.
    • By the recitation of the Seven Sorrows Rosary, you shall be freed from obsessions and addictions.
    • This rosary when said from the heart, will win us true repentance of our sins and free our souls from guilt and remorse.
    • Those who say it often, especially as re-commended by Our Lady to Marie Claire, on Tuesdays and Fridays, shall obtain clear understanding of their weaknesses and flaws causing them to sin and those things we don’t like about ourselves and thought were a part of our character, shall change.
    • You shall obtain whatever you ask for through this rosary, praying this rosary from the heart.
    • More than ever, the world needs the Seven Sorrows Rosary.

Immaculee Ilibagiza describes beautifully what Our Lady does for us during the recitation of the seven sorrows rosary; it is healing even to just hear Immaculee speak of this great Love and tenderness Our Lady has for us.
The whole video is wonderful but where Immaculee speaks of the rosary it starts at the 19 minute mark.

Thank you for this! It’s also interesting to note that Sr Sagacawa, of the Akita apparitions, broke her long silence just before all of the lunacy began in October, 2019, saying that we needed to put on ashes and say the penitential rosary. I consider the 7 sorrows to be penitential!

    Saint John Vianney
    A Pastor At The Service
    Of Christ's Flock

This excerpt from Saint John Vianney's childhood shows he possessed a strong devotion to Mary and the Rosary as well as a strong spirit of self sacrifice and self denial for the love of God from the earliest years of his life.

Saint John Vianney came to age during the turbulent years of the French revolution. A time when religion was suppressed under the false notion of so-called liberty. His family went to Mass in secret. And yet, his closeness to Mary carried him peacefully through this awful time.

He possessed a priestly heart from the beginning. There was no longer a parish in his town, but when the day's work was complete, he would go to work winning souls for Jesus. He would teach the other boys about God, to love the Blessed Virgin Mary, and how to say their prayers.

He had a favorite image of Mary that he would take with him while he watched his family's animals graze. His friends would gather around and he would lead them all in prayer. He then would give them a little "sermon". Sometimes his friends would get bored and run off and play as little boys will do. This did not matter to St. John Vianney though. He would remain alone and contemplate the things of God.

Imagine the great need for priests by the time his country was restored to it's sanity. When the Church was no longer suppressed and the churches were re-opened, there were few priests left to administer to the people. The priests had either been executed on the guillotine or exiled. Before Saint John Vianney became a priest he would say, "If I were ever a priest, I would win many souls to God." And he did just that.

After many obstacles, one of which being the Reign of Terror in France, Saint John Vianney finally began to study for the priesthood. Studying never came easy for Jean Marie Vianney and after many years of hard study he finally became a priest. He never let any obstacle come in his way, rather he patiently waited for God to remove it.

When Saint John Vianney was a priest, his studies did not end, for he continued to aspire for moral perfection by growing more deeply rooted in the teachings of the Church and in his spiritual development which translated into the heroic sanctity for which he is now known.

Two important truths can be gleaned from the life of St. John Mary Vianney. He leads the way to heroic sanctity by demonstrating the importance of...

    • Growing in virtue by imitating the lives of Jesus and Mary, which you can do through the daily meditations on the Rosary
    • Practicing self-denial in a spirit of sacrifice, especially during times of persecution and trouble

Saint John Marie Vianney Quotes On The Blessed Virgin Mary

"To serve the Queen of Heaven is already to reign there, and to live under her commands is more than to govern."

"Only after the Last Judgment will Mary get any rest; from now until then, she is much too busy with her children."

"Christian wife! Follow in the footsteps of the ideal of all womanhood, the Blessed Mother of God; in joy and in sorrow, she will be your advocate at the throne of her Son."

"Jesus Christ, after having given us all he could give, that is to say, the merit of his toils, his sufferings, and bitter death; after having given us his adorable body and blood to be the food of our souls, willed also to give us the most precious thing he had let, which was his holy Mother,"

"When our hands have touched spices, they give fragrance to all they handle. Let us make our prayers pass through the hands of the Blessed Virgin. She will make them fragrant."

Saint John Marie Vianney Quotes On Prayer

"Prayer is to our soul what rain is to the soil. Fertilize the soil ever so richly, it will remain barren unless fed by frequent rains."

"When you awake in the night, transport yourself quickly in spirit before the Tabernacle, saying: 'Behold, my God, I come to adore You, to praise, thank, and love you, and to keep you company with all the Angels,' "

"Prayer is the inner bath of love into which the soul plunges itself."

"If we really loved the good God, we should make it our joy and happiness to come and spend a few moments to adore Him, and ask Him for the grace of forgiveness; and we should regard those moments as the happiest of our lives."

"Man is a beggar who needs to ask God for everything."

"A mortal man, a creature, feeds himself, satiates himself, with his God, taking him for his daily bread, his drink... O miracle of miracles!... O love of loves!... O joy of joys!"

This lent we can pray the Rosary with Fr Peyton!
Father gives beautiful reflections before all mysteries and ends with the litany of Loreto and then blesses all of us who have prayed with him and all who will listen to this recording. The video ends with some beautiful songs.

I was listening to the news this morning as I was going to work - and the reporter on Fox News made a comment -
“The people of Ukraine need weapons and missiles not thoughts and prayers!”

I do not remember the reporters name and since I was listening on Sirius radio I don’t have a picture to even help me remember who it was. It was a male reporter and he was not quoting someone but instead giving his opinion.
