Good morning friends. Does anyone have the installment prayer that my Priest could use to install myself and some of my fellow Legion of Mary members into the Brown Scapular Confraternity? I have been wearing the Brown Scapular for many years but I don’t recall if I have ever been formally installed as a child. Thanks so much!
If you received your first holy communion in the early 1960’s your parish priest most likely enrolled you and gave you your first scapular. That was the practice in the USA back then.
Wow! I have to ask my mother to see if they did. It would've been in the early 1970’s. Wonder if they did it then?

Rosalia, I was just wondering, were you wearing your scapular when your Pastor prayed the Investiture over you? There will be a group of us having it done, so I am just wondering whether we should all be wearing them when our Pastor does the investiture prayer or does he bless the scapulars first and then we place them around our necks? I ordered a bunch of new scapulars for everyone to have it done. Thanks!
Shae, I was already wearing my Scapular when the priest prayed the Investiture. I think it’s a great ministry to buy a bunch of Brown Scapulars and give then out, Shae! and how wonderful that you are doing the investiture as a group!
