Reminder... Mother Mary's birthday is on August 5. Message from Our Lady's blue book, Sept. 4 Hello, my dear child. I have something rather important to tell you! Where my image is honored and placed in esteem, God will spare all who live through the night of trial that is to come! A most striking wonder will my image perform in souls who look with love at me. Upon you, my little one, who are true to me, I will guard and protect because you over a time have been faithful. Live with this in your heart and let my love give you strength so that you never imagine yourself lost. Pray! I am the Blessed Virgin who has revealed this to you.
O Holy Mary, my Lady, into your blessed trust and safe keeping and into the depths of your mercy, I commend my soul and body this day, every day of my life, and at the hour of my death. To you I entrust all my hopes and consolations, all my trials and miseries, my life and the end of my life. By your most holy intercession and by your merits, may all my actions be directed and disposed according to your will and the Will of your divine Son. Amen. ~ Saint Aloysius Gonzaga
I believe her birthday has been celebrated by the Church on that date for many centuries because it is exactly 9 months from the feast of her Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8. I know in Medjugorje in 1984, Mary revealed to the children that she was actually born on August 5. The visionaries encourage people to still celebrate with the Church on Sept 8, but maybe offer Mary something on Aug 5 as well.
Regardless if it’s tomorrow or Sept 8th, it’s always wonderful to honor Our Lady, our Mom…who I think we all would admit we need so much. In honor of our most holy Mother… My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant. From this day all generations will call me blessed: the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name. He has mercy on those who fear him in every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm, he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel for he remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers, to Abraham and his children forever.
bump... Happy Birthday to our dearest and most loving Mother Mary on August 5, which happens to be the first Friday of the month this year.
Thanks for the reminder. I read another mystic who said that the true Feast of the Immaculate Conception if the 8th of November, which is my birthday.
