Fr. Chris Alar of the Marian Fathers referenced this today during his homily. Thought I'd share! From facebook: Father Chris Alar just did a retreat on Mary and the Eucharist. HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED! People in attendance at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Brentwood, California, near San Francisco, on October 13-14 witnessed a very rare image of Our Lady in the Eucharist! (Photo sent to us by a person in attendance.) Beautiful! Amen!
I was praying to Our Lady and thinking about her last night. If we believe, truly believe that Mary loves us as a Mother does, then she must be close to us all the time as a true mother does. She is not just way out there up in the stars, up in heaven far, far away, but is really present in our daily life. At Mass I often love to picture her at the right side of the altar standing there , prayerfully at the Eternal Sacrifice looking onwards. How could she not be? She who stood at the Foot of the Cross to the End of the Calvary. But before I fell asleep I was wondering to myself. How much do I really believe this? How much do I really believe she is really, really there? The answer must be, maybe a little. So I must let the winds of Faith fill the sails of my heart so that I more and more fully see her in my day to day life. Feel and see her smiling presence , most especially during the Holy Mass. Oh Mary, Holy Mother I believe! Mary, increase my Faith, grant me Faith filled eyes that I may see you always, even in the smallest things!
This seems like a sign pointing to a possible new Marian dogma to be proclaimed in the future: Mediatrix of all graces.
Stunning. Our Lady promised to help us. And here she is. Our Lady of the Eucharist. "I alone can help you" ( to Sister Lucia at Fatima.) "Are you not here under the crossing of my arms? Am I not your Mother?" ( Our Lady to St Juan Diego) We are being watched over by Our Mother. Here is PROOF.
I'm not clear if it was a miraculous image that appeared there after the host was already placed in the montrance Or was it already on the Eucharist by design to emphasize Mary's role? I'm trying to find something on it on the internet that explains more, but coming up short.
I enlarged image on my pc and certainly while there are distortions it seemed to me that the image is "in front" of imprinting that you see on some hosts. In fact, it seems that imprinting is visible behind the image. I also don't think I have ever seen any images like this purposely imprinted on a host... usually only "IHS" of like this one...wheat type figure? But maybe I am mistaken. Always good to consider these thing first.
This is true and worth thinking about. I wonder does Father Alar himself have any thoughts on this? Must check and see. I think he was in London , England last week giving a talk. Although of course its all down to the local Bishop.
I see this from 2017 https://www.facebook.com/TheChurchM...rance-and-it-appeared-to-hav/706154926238749/ Church Militant 10 August 2017 · Eucharistic Miracle: 'HIS HAND WAS THROWN OFF THE MONSTRANCE, AND IT APPEARED TO HAVE BURNED . . .' Fr. Chris Alar was leading a Eucharistic procession through the Cree Indian reservation neighborhood on the Southern end of Reindeer Lake in Saskatoon (Canada) when two young men stopped him in his tracks and shouted vulgarities aimed at the Blessed Sacrament. "I was at complete peace," Fr. Chris recalls. "All I did was grip the Monstrance tightly because I knew they wanted to desecrate the Eucharist in some way. They threatened me, but they were more concerned with wanting to desecrate the Eucharist. Then one of them grabbed the Monstrance, and the moment he grabbed it, his hand was thrown off the Monstrance, and it appeared to have burned his hands. He gripped his hands in pain. We all saw it. The man then stepped back, and the two of them got out of the way." Father Chris continues, "God once in a while gives a sign, and man did He give a sign! I left Canada with a renewed wonder for the truth of the Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament."
Fr. Alar just weighed-in. Not approved by the church of course, but a possible miracle! ✨ I only got to listen to the first 5 minutes. I plan to listen to the rest when I get off work.
I thoroughly trust Fr. Chris! (The last thing I did before I left my year volunteering up there in Stockbridge Massachusetts was go to see the movie Dunkirk with him, the Brother Mark that he mentioned in this video, and two other friends, one of whom works in the office there for Fr. Chris.)
