Wow that was powerful Mac. As you know I had my brain scan today and was a bit shook up. That has settled me for the night. Cheers me old mate
I was in hospital for a few days, and i too had a brain scan along with the usual cancer scan. Nothing wrong with my brain, thank God, won't get the results of cancer until next week.pray for me as I pray for you.
Brain scans must be contagious here at MOG. I'm scheduled for an MRA (MRI of the arteries) of my brain next week as a follow up of a stroke I suffered this summer. (I just drove for the first time in a month.) Lots of good folks are suffering unusual maladies. We must all offer it up and unite it with the Cross in reparation, for the souls in purgatory and especially for the Synod this fall.
Lord....have Mercy on your people....please May the Lord give you all speedy recovery. I went thru 2 scans a few years back with intense headaches.....ughhh they found empty space
Th Thanks Brian. Yup the Holy Souls are doing ok these days. That was one of my old mum's favourite sayings when we were young and hurt ourselves...."just offer it up for the Holy Souls." Hopefully the ones who benefit from our prayers will help to keep our pastors in Synod right. Good to hear you are behind the wheel again. Lots of prayers for you.
Hi Patty Mums are great arent they. Mine is 87 and I am 62. She laughs her head off when she remembers how old I am. Its about 6.30 Sunday morning here in New Zealand and about 7.30 Saturday evening in Scotland. I'm about to phone her and I always tell her that she is being duscussed across the world. She loves this. I have quoted the morning and evening prayers on various sites that we always said as children and tell her how these have now been shared with the world. She loves this too as I tell her about what the girls were told by Our Lady at Garabandal that we must have our hands full when we approach God in heaven. I tell her she has nothing to worry about having raised 8 children and shared herself with the world. Apart from us lot she has done so much good elsewhere. Ours has not always been an easy relationship but it has always been a good one and in later years a very good one. Full hands indeed. We always prayed for priests and "the little children in Russia." God bless mums everywhere.
How sweet Aloysius! My Mom passed away in 2012 at the wonderful age of 91. She had many wise sayings like "Pride goeth before a fall" and I never understood this one until I went off to college "Those who dance must pay the fiddler" ha ha, I had to pay the fiddler a few times. There were five of us and I think her hands were full too! Tell your Mom hello and God Bless her from New Hampshire, USA!
I have always had this question. How do we know that de Montfort's saints are the saints for these times? Maybe these saints will be when THE anti christ walks in this world. won't the world need the greatest of saints for that final battle before the return of Jesus?
Im not sure if this passage is helpful PS? In a word, we know that they shall be true disciples of Jesus Christ, who, marching in the footsteps of His poverty, humility, contempt of the world, and charity, shall teach the strait way of God in the pure truth, according to the holy Gospel, and not according to the maxims of the world, without putting themselves in pain about things, or accepting persons, without sparing, fearing, or listening to any mortal, however influential he may be. They shall have in their mouths the two-edged sword of the Word of God. They shall carry on their shoulders the bloody standard of the cross, the crucifix in their right hand and the rosary in their left, the sacred names of Jesus and Mary on their hearts, and the modesty and mortification of Jesus Christ in their own behaviour. These are the great men who shall come. But Mary shall be there by the order of the Most High, to extend His empire over that of the impious, the idolaters, and the Mahometans. But when and how shall this be? God alone knows. It is for us to hold our tongues, to pray, to sigh, and to wait—exspectans exspectavi.
If you get to know about Living in the Divine Will, as it was revealed to Luisa Piccarreta (currently in the way towards sainthood in the Vatican, and her writings officially declared free from error), you KNOW that there can be no greater holiness than that. It is a holiness of sharing fully in the intimate and personal life of God Himself. It is the holiness of the original Plan of creation, in the Garden of Eden before the Fall. Jesus tells Luisa that the prove that God wants to give this gift to humanity is that He has revealed it -to her and through her to the Church- now. She was the first to receive this ultimate Grace of divine holiness (in 1899, I think) and with her fidelity she opened the way for all the rest. There is no more waiting for this extraordinary holiness, it is offered in display, here in our times, before our very faces, eyes, and hearts. God wants to give it to you and to me. It is up to you and to me to respond and ask for the grace, or let it go by the side. Also, you may believe that the a-c won't show up on Earth in many generations yet. I won't discuss that point. But I'll guess that the "new world order" people who are imposing on every country in the world the "new religion" that attacks directly the human person as created by God -and the family, and the sacredness of sexuality, and motherhood, and of life, etc. etc. etc. - I guess, those people are not going to let you think differently and get your way. There is only one voice of destruction and darkness coming from all that around us. Even if we don't like the name, this is sheer "a-c spirit". And I agree with you, we need the "new and divine holiness" (in words of St JP II) to fight the spirit of the a-c already winning elections all over the world. So I certainly do believe that OURS is the time of the saint that St. Grignon de Monfort talks about in that beautiful video of this thread.
Thanks WCWTS, I will make another one on the great insights given to us by this saint as I reread the treatise and renew my own consecration
Expectans expectavi indeed, Amen, Amen, Amen. If you were on a Catholic version of New Zealand's got talent, for these comments and your video, your witness, your audience, the faithful, would rise to their feet and the verdict from the judges would be "well done, good and faithful servant" and a resounding "yes" from all Three.
Thanks Joe. I could only fear that BH might be one of the judges. View attachment 3429 ''Mac !!, what are your primary sources!!?? you cannot pass''[to the next round]
