consecration renewal time...who is with me?

I will be renewing my consecration to our lady on May 13th, Our Lady of Fatima feast day. Therefore, the 33 day journey begins April 10th. I get so much more out of it when I do it with others, so I am inviting others to join me! If I get any takers, I will start a thread on the 10th, and hopefully people will post their thoughts, reflections, questions, challenges, etc. You can post a lot or not much at all...whatever you are comfortable with. We are about to enter the storm my brothers and sisters...time to secure your spot under our lady's mantle and let her mold you and lead you to Jesus so you will grow in faith and love for Jesus in a way that you can not achieve on your own.

So, please discern to see if you feel you should consecrate yourself to our lady or renew your consecration to her. I'd love to have a group to take this journey with!

I have never completed the 33days prep before the consecration but look forward to the action of the Holy Spirit during the 33 day preparation time of grace it gives to us.

No need to apologize! One test I do now with web sites is check what it sells, especially books....speaks volumes of sites thought. Also About Us/History. Helps to cut thru the chase....lol so many snares out there for sure !! I tried looking for another consecration site, de Montfort Fathers only had consecration books for sale....sighhhh

 

My wife and I are in the process of renewing our Consecration to Mary using Fr. Gaitley's "33 Days To Morning Glory". It's a beautiful way to do the consecration. We will renew our Consecration on March 25th, the Feast of the Annunciation. We also got another family to do it at the same time. Mary's Queenship advances a few souls at a time....

Count me in tater! i loved doing it with the group and extra motivation from last year! i missed an earlier date to do it with a parish group so i am happy happy !

 

Yes! I'll ask my daughter to do the St. louis of Montfort consecration with me, she is 6 years old.

All you have to do is decide if you want to consecrate yourself to Mary. If yes, read up on what it is with True Devotion to Mary or The Secret of Mary by St Louis de Montfort. Then decide if you will use de Montfort's 33 day preparation or Gaitey's 33 day preperation from 33 Days to Morning Glory. We start the 33 day prep on April 10th and I will start a thread so people can post their thoughts, reflections, questions, sturggles, etc. On May 13th we consecrate outselves to Mary and then you say a daily consecration prayer and you start living it! As for living it...well, that can be another thread!!

I'm with you ! I started the St. Louis DeMontfort 33 day consecration on Feb. 20th for Lent.

 

I actually did the 33 day Fr. Gaitley one this past Nov-Dec and my consecration was on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec. 12). Can I renew and join you so soon ?

Mike - I don't think our lady would mind at all! These times are urgent, and we can never do enough to increase our faith and really develop a relationship with our lady who then leads us closer and closer to Jesus. Since you used Gaitley in December, maybe do de Montfort this time around?

Bit late I know because I've not lurked here lately - I was planning to renew anyway, so it will be lovely to do it in your company again. April 10th it is.

We are taking a few days away at the end of that month, so it might be a bit difficult to do more than read Gaitley. I do find that de Montfort's own program has more prayer and requires a little more time. But I'm in.

 

Denis and Cathy Nolan have a 33 day consecration set of videos on mary tv. I did it last year.

Wanted to renew this year to complete for 25th March and found the video link not working.

I will check it again, please God it will be working by April 10th. I need something to keep me focused.

How about any first timers?? I know I named this thread consecration renewal...but anyone can join us. the process and end result is the same whether you renew or are doing this for the first time.

Padraig has moved 2 threads to this consecration section of the forum. They are the last 2 threads listed in this section and they are the threads from our consecration on April 10th 2013 and april 10th 2014. Reading this will give you an idea how we do it as a virtual group. And, you don't need to post often or even at all if you don't want to. It is up to you. The important thing is to consecrate yourself if you are feeling any nudge at all to do this. You will not regret it!!

Let us know if you would like to join us in a virtual consecration group to Jesus through Mary. You can use De Montfort or 33 Days to Mornin Glory...whichever you want. Even if you have not done this before, it is not too late. You can read The Secret of Mary by Louis de Montfort to understand what consecrating yourself means. It is only 33 pages and available for download from Amazon for 99 cents. True Devotion t Mary is available online and you can probably find the link in the consecration resources thread here.
