Given the uncertainty in the world, the US upcoming elections and fall-out, and potentially even craziness with our solar system and not to mention the belief we are living in end times with Catholic prophecies being fulfilled right before our very eyes...why not consecrate yourself to Jesus through Mary right now!! Julia and others thought it would be a good idea and I couldn't agree more. The world and church are about to get more unstable and confusing. I believe the best way to survive what is ahead and be of help to our friends and families is by becoming as small as a child and clinging to the hand of our heavenly mother. I think the best way to do this is to consecrate yourself to Jesus through Mary. I will start a separate thread for the consecration itself. You won't need to buy any books...I will post all you need, whether you use de Montfort or Gaitley. You won't miss a prayer. Please reply here if you want to join us. I started my yearly de Montfort in 1989 I think, ending on the feast of the Immaculate Conception. Over the years I have received many graces from praying in front of this image. The strange thing is I didn't know for approx 12 years what the Immaculate Conception statue actually looked like. There just happened to be one in the chapel I frequented.
I have had a strong feeling for quite a while now that anyone who has not done this consecration should do it ASAP. You will need the help from Our Lady in the coming storm. I did this consecration 2 years ago when I returned to the Church and Our Lady has given me so many graces it is amazing. Honestly I am possibly the weakest and most sinful person on this forum, yet She hasn't left my side. In fact sometimes it feels like she is carrying me over her shoulder because I am not even doing my basic duties. In addition please do your 1st First Fridays and Saturdays too! The time grows short and we don't know how much longer we may have easy access to the Sacraments regularly. The promises from them are too good to pass up. Besides all this it is what She asked of us.
