Archbishop Lefebvre was excommunicated with the 4 Bishops he consecrated in 1988. Pope Benedict lifted the excommunication off the 4 Bishops. The Archbishop doesnt need it lifted, since he died in 91
I would put aside this idea of being a nun for a while till you live the Catholic life as a lay person for a few years. No good rushing into things. The life of a Religious can be spiritually very, very demanding indeed, it is not what it appears from the outside. Better to build up some spiritual stamina first. Become the very best kind of lay person you can ever be first.
Yes they told me I was to wait three years due to canon law. I still give them updates every month. We me and mother say In time it will tell if it is God's will than we accept it. But yes I am waiting a few years but I'm pretty sure God is calling me to religious life I just wait and see.
Ask your Spiritual Director about this, but it's not just a matter of waiting three years. If you can I recommend putting all idea of a religious vocation to one side. Don;t worry if it is genuine it will re emerge when the time is right. forgive me, but I get the notion from your posts that you fixating a little on this. Just try to live as good a Christina Life as you can. Be as Holy as you can, with God's grace.
