I have a few questions regarding the rules or suggestions for Marian Consecration,

Firstly, I'm pretty sure that this is the case but I want to check, I was told that the Communion one receives when making one's Marian Consecration has to be received outside of mass, is this true? (I'm pretty sure it is, but I just want to check.)

Secondly, this might sound a bit legalistic but, when going to confession for the Marian Consecration, are there any rules about making the confession specifically for the Marian Consecration? I ask this because I'll be renewing my Consecration for the Feast of the Visitation, and one day after that, it will be the First Saturday of June, and I always do confessions for my First Saturday Devotion on Thursday as it's difficult to receive the Sacrament of Penance on other days in my diocese.

    Thanks.

How does one receive Communion outside of Mass?

Because the goal of consecration I s "to Jesus through Mary", I would think that nothing would change regarding the sacraments. Mary doesn't want anything for herself. Everything should remain Christocentric.

I have never heard of these rules. On Monday, the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church, I will be renewing my Consecration after Holy Mass. I'll have my Confession heard before Holy Mass. And I'll receive Holy Communion during Holy Mass. And I'll pray the Rosary before my Consecration. I have always done thus!:)

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

No essential rules to the Consecration to Mary

From the book 33 Days to Morning Glory
    1) Make a good confession, but if you don't have time to make it before the consecration, then from your heart tell the Lord you are very sorry for your sins and make a resolution to confession as you reasonably can.
    2) Write out or print up the prayer of consecration - so you can sign it after you recited it.
    3) Get a miraculous medal to wear around your neck as a sign of your consecration or at least keep one in your purse or wallet.
Again, these three things are recommendations. They are not essential to the consecration.

    4) It is recommended that you recite your consecration prayer after Mass or after Holy Communion. If you can't get to Mass, you can still recite the consecration prayer - Mass is recommended, but it is not essential.
