I was more than presently surprised at Mass this morning, to see a beautiful photo of the Immaculate Heart displayed on the altar, and Fr. said that the bishops of Canada had been called upon to dedicate this 150 birthday of Canada to consecrate our country to The Immaculate Heart of Mary! The timing is perfect as in other discussions on here, some will know that our present government is leading the leftist new world order agenda by making sweeping changes to our laws to the extent that they are taking away the parental right to raise our kids in conformity to Christian/Catholic teaching. Oh Our Lady, Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for and save our country...
Here is the card that was handed out at Mass where they included consecration prayers and the Litany of Our Blessed Mother:

I see this is dated from July 2017, yet somehow it came up as if a new thread. (n) I liked, then decided to come back. Where did it go?? Had to search. Ah, it's from 2017!

Well my re-finding it was apparently meant to be. :)

And I'd like to drive up to the PM's office, grab him by the collar, and tell him "all this" is seriously cramping my style (even if I'm a US citizen)... ... so knock it off, Justin.

But I'll continue to pray instead. :cautious::D

I'm having a hard time even thinking about Trudeau right now. He's just invoked the Emergency Act! For peaceful protesting! We are in the fight of our lives here in Canada for our rights and freedoms! The truckers and us supporters understand that if we lose this game, we're done. So they aren't going anywhere so we'll see what happens next... pray, pray, pray...

We continue to pray sparrow. There is no point in putting faith in men, but God can do anything.

I took several days off from internet and went on a trip to Normandy. We visited the Canadian cemetery and prayed for the souls of the departed and asked them to forgive us for what we've done with the freedom they died so that we could have. It was a very moving and sad experience to be there in this context, so many soldiers died there and so young too - I found one who was 17! I was making parallels between those soldiers and the truckers who are risking everything - meanwhile I have friends and family who are sitting in front of their TVs, drinking it all in and have no clue of what any this is about. It's surreal and very difficult to correspond with them because of their hardness of hearts. I was thinking about the stories I've read about how bankers funded both sides of the conflict in WWII. And I thought of the many French people whom I've met over the years who were of an older generation who were openly hostile to Americans and would get upset whenever the subject of D-day events and liberation came up. I used to wonder why that was - were they so selfish and ungrateful? Now I'm see that they probably had a very different view of those events than what they tell us on TV and in books.

Men truly are manipulated by Satan while on earth and we only have our refuge in Jesus.

Yes Sparrow. I see it this way too. Praying!!! It is comforting to remember that consecration to the Immaculate Heart.

A very moving post. Thank you, Andree.

Only last evening I discovered that I have Normandy ancestry.
