In the US today is a national holiday, Thanksgiving Day. Family make enormous efforts to celebrate this holiday with loved ones. The tables are filled to the brim with roasted turkey, potatoes, gravy, hams, cranberries, it's a huge feast. But the feast is within our hearts really, we give great thanks for all He has given us. So whether you are in the US or another part of the world, Happy Thanksgiving to you. May our God continue to richly bless you and your loved ones. Gail

May our God continue to richly bless you and your loved ones. God's blessings upon you and yours, too, Lee! This day is very special to me for I deeply experience the unity that the Holy Spirit brings. First, our lone parish Holy Mass is always crowded as families from the various Sunday Masses mingle in a unique way. Second, I send a loving email to my children who are unable to gather at our table, knowing we have been joined together at the banqueting Table of the Lord. Third, I thank God for the internet and Our Lady who has brought us together in this forum. The bond of grace flows even more profoundly than blood. Thank you all for the encouragement you have given me over the last two years. Our merciful Lord is awesome! And each of you is precious! From 1Peter1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
oooooooooooopppps sorry forgot it was Thanksgiving, many blessings for the day to our American cousins!!
I too am late in wishing you all in U.S. a very happy thanksgiving and pray for the spiritual renewal of your nation as the world depends your response to the invitation of Jesus. God bless Mary
Maryrose, I pray for that as well. I endeavor to focus on His face rather than the wind and the waves that appear so destructive.
