Hello all MOG Prayer Warriors! As the events in Ukraine continue to unfold , the Pope asked for prayers and fasting on Ash Wednesday. A few members here thought we should go beyond this and as Our Lady and many saints have instructed us- pick up the most powerful weapon of all - The Rosary! Thought we could pray the Rosary simultaneously if we select time that works. My recommendation is we start tomorrow (Friday 2/25) at 3pm EST. Based upon the calculator below, it seems that it provides the most “green times “ around the world. (See link below) I apologize in advance if it does not fit a good time for you - we can adjust if needed. But even if you cant do at this exact time, do when you can and let’s include these intentions plus any you add here. - end of hostility in Ukraine - peace in the region - peace in the world - healing for all those impacted by Covid - for our children and families to convert back to faith and the Church - for the Holy Father Since it’s a Friday (for most when we do this) we will do Sorrowful mysteries edit to say… let’s make this weekly at least through Easter. Matthew 18:1-5 At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying: Who thinkest thou is the greater in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus calling unto him a little child, set him in the midst of them, And said: Amen I say to you, unless you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he is the greater in the kingdom of heaven. And he that shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.
Count me in also! Today while praying the Luminous mysteries, I brought the events that are going on to the Wedding Feast at Cana table where our Blessed Mother sat with Jesus. I prayed that Mary brings our good intentions to Jesus.
I will be at work but my spirit will be with you all as you say the rosary at 3:00! I will say my rosary after dinner!
Ive been watching the blow by blow account of the 'War"in the Ukraine and the on-going bent to the reporting has been "Cheez.. these poor Ukrainians don't have a snow balls chance in HELL....but I admire their spunk!" Im thinking... "They certainly are the "underdogs" in the contest!"... BUT.... I can recall at least two particular instances in the past of the intervention of Heaven into circumstances where Evil forces swarming with vast armies and arrayed with superior might were trounced..;wiped out by a "remnant"of Good forces who were merely armed with TRUST in God!! I'm thinking in particular of the Battle of Lepanto...in this case it was won by the Rosary and ..when I saw the photo that Jo M posted of the toddlers with those same holy "weapons" in their hands...I thought of David and Goliath!! In Davids case it was TRUST in God and a sling shot!!! Cool...No?
Let's add: For the conversion of Russia, North Korea, China, other communist countries and rogue nations and their leaders, soldiers and citizens That God may command St. Michael and the entire heavenly court to thwart all evil plans and actions of all evildoers, prevent the spread of Communism (in all its forms) and all its errors worldwide That God and all angels and saints in Heaven may protect, rescue and come to the aid of all people who suffer from all injustices and abuses For the conversion of all evildoers, predators, abusers, atheists, all sinners, lukewarm souls and those who have strayed and fallen away from God's path. For the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! Maranatha, come Lord Jesus! Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of everyone and enkindle in them the fire of Your love!
I was just thinking we should do both. It takes 30-45 minutes to do both and surely that is worth it for the world.
