Well the other side of that request involves also, the 5 first Saturday's as well. They also need to be performed for the whole thing to work as Our Lady requested.. but this is a good start!

It's Pope Francis don't forget, don't hold your breath. If he were asked to hold an International Symposium backing , 'Gay Rights' in Russia, there might be a good chance.

Consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart would be pure goobledegook to the man.

There was some alleged mystic, whose name escapes me, who said before Francis' 'election' that the next pope would be the one to undertake the consecration. When it was announced that the Pope was a South American Jesuit, I thought - well that's one mystic who maybe isn't. However, the Ukrainian Bishops have created a bit of a problem for Francis. Can he say 'no' without alienating the Ukrainians? He would look churlish if he says 'no' and hasn't got much to lose. I think that he will. Josyp Terelya said that Our Lady said at Hrushiv that Ukraine would convert Russia, maybe this is how it's going to be achieved, through their good bishops.

It would have to be done together with all the Bishops of the World. That was Our Lady's request. Many of the Bishops, such as in Germany aren't even Christian anymore never mind Catholic.

Asking them to do such a thing would be a bit like asking an elephant to take flying lessons.

The phrase, 'Elephants might fly', would seem well applied to the Holy Father as well.

That “mystic” steadfastly stated the next pope after BXVI would consecrate Russia.

That’s never gonna happen with Francis but could still prove true - but only if Francis were proven not to be the true pope … which isn’t going to happen in his lifetime.

Perhaps the bright flash of a thermonuclear blast in yonder distance might concentrate their heretical minds and soften their wicked hearts, ...you never know...
Sr Lucia said it would take place at the last minute...

1917, the Virgin said to them:

I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. If people attend to my requests, Russia will be converted and the world will have peace.”

They said that on July 13, 1917 the Virgin told them:

God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The [First World] war is going to end; if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that He is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart....

If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace. If not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

    Three conditions
Sr. Lucy reported that the Virgin of Fatima appeared to her again on June 13, 1929, and said:

This is the moment when God asks
    1. the Holy Father to make,
    2. in union with all the bishops of the world,
    3. the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart.
He promises to save it by that means. So many are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against me that I come to ask for reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray.”

    Threat
    And Sr. Lucy added:

Later on through an intimate communication, Our Lord said: ‘They have not chosen to heed my request… As the King of France, they will regret it and then will do it, but it will be too late. Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church, the Holy Father will have much to suffer.’”

Sr. Lucy asked our Lord why He would not convert Russia without the solemn public consecration of that nation specifically. Jesus answered:

Because I want My whole Church to acknowledge that consecration as a triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so that it may extend its homage later on, and put the devotion to this Immaculate Heart beside the devotion to My Sacred Heart.”

If Benedict had asked the bishops - no chance. However Francis doesn't tend to show much tolerance to those who disobey him so perhaps he is the perfect candidate for this job. We're both betting men, you play poker, I back horses, so what about a tenner?

Putting a gun to someone's head to do something would render their action invalid. Just as if If you forced someone to go to Mass it would do no good. They have to want to do it.

Their hearts would have to be in it. That's how Free Will works. Perhaps this is why previous Popes never took the plunge?

    Isaiah 29:13

The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

However I kind of admire your optimism.
