Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head and founder of the Wagner (mercenary) Group (and former close friend of Putin) has called for a 'march on Moscow' to bring down the military leadership within Russia which, he claims, has failed dismally and lied to justify the invasion. He is no friend of Ukraine and has recruited his mercenaries (with Putin's permission) from prisons in Russia (including murderers and rapists) promising them pardon for 6 months service (or death). He now asks his followers and others (including soldiers in the Russian army to rise up and march on Moscow and other major cities.

Russia has acknowledged that this call has been made and today officially accused him of 'mutiny' and treason. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. See Reuter's report below.

LONDON, June 23 (Reuters) - Russia accused mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin of calling for an armed mutiny on Friday after he alleged, without providing evidence, that the military leadership had killed 2,000 of his fighters and vowed to stop what he called its "evil".

As a long-running standoff between Prigozhin and the Defence Ministry appeared to come to a head, the ministry issued a statement, saying Prigozhin's accusations were "not true and are an informational provocation."

Prigozhin said his actions did not amount to a military coup. But Russia's FSB security service opened a criminal case against him for calling for an armed mutiny, the TASS news agency said on Friday, citing the National Anti-terrorism Committee.

The Kremlin said President Vladimir Putin had been informed and that "necessary measures are being taken". The standoff, many of the details of which remained unclear, looked like the biggest domestic crisis Putin has faced since he sent thousands of troops into Ukraine in February last year in what he called "a special military operation." Prigozhin, whose frequent tirades on social media belie his limited role in the war as head of the Wagner private militia, has for months been openly accusing Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russia's top general, Valery Gerasimov, of rank incompetence and of denying his forces ammunition and support. But earlier on Friday, he had appeared to cross a new line in his increasingly vitriolic feud with the Defence Ministry, saying that the Kremlin's rationale for invading Ukraine was based on lies concocted by the army's top brass.

Then, in a series of late evening audio messages on his official Telegram channel, Prigozhin said: "The minister of defence has ordered 2,000 bodies that are being stored to be hidden so as not to show the losses." He added: "Those who destroyed our lads, who destroyed the lives of many tens of thousands of Russian soldiers, will be punished. I ask that no one offer resistance ... "There are 25,000 of us and we are going to figure out why chaos is happening in the country." Prigozhin said his actions were "not a military coup", but added: "Most of the military support us fervently."

I think the main impetus for Prigozhin saying this was that he also apparently claimed that his main camp had been bombed and that the missiles had come from towards Russia. This is all very strange.

Update: a Russian blogger living outside Russia says that his contacts in the country tell him that armoured troop carriers are moving into Moscow and into Rostov. The road from Rostov to Moscow has been closed and checkpoints have been set up by armed police, and that all police and army units within Russia have been put on alert. (They are nervous).

Sorry, I don't think it was their main camp but just one of them (my mistake).

Take anything you see here with a huge grain of salt (especially since anything remotely pro-russian gets you immediately perma banned), but this is the subreddit covering the Ukraine conflict on reddit:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/RussiaUkraineWar2022/

They're currently talking about what's going on in Russia and posting videos.

Russia has admitted that this 'mutiny' has occurred and several spokesmen from the Russian military and the defence ministry have admitted that this has occurred and have issued public appeals to Prigozhin and his mercenaries to stop their proposed action. So what should we take with a 'huge grain of salt'?

Here is someone who knows more than you or I on the subject:

Anything you see on that subreddit (or Reddit in general); I was perfectly clear.

Don’t presume my knowledge on this.

I have no idea what subreddit or Reddit is, so your 'clarity' is lost on me.

reddit is the internet’s message board, anyone can register and make posts or create a subreddit dedicated to a specific topic. There are subs on pretty much anything and random people from all over the planet post on them.

If Russia collapses in the middle of a coup détat, I'm not sure how that fits with what Malachi Martin said (in other words) about them being the "lever" of the punishment envisaged in the third secret; some people have spoken on the forum a few times about a possible prophetic invasion of Russia by China (perhaps with the first one well weakened militarily); regardless of whether this is likely or not, I'm sure it would leave the west with no reaction and with a " smile of apprehension ".

A stable superpower, with nuclear capacity, viewing itself as being under threat can be very dangerous for world harmony.
But an UNSTABLE superpower, with nuclear capacity, viewing itself as being under threat can be even more dangerous to the world.
    We are in perilous times.
Did I read that Biden and Putin had talks recently?
The lord of this world will have cunning ways to subvert any potential for peace. He is in the mood for war, our lady says.
    There are no winners here..
I know you're not defending any particular side, but regrettably there are those who believe one side is right and the other wrong. All of this is insanity on a scale never before imagined. Lunatics are "leading" the world. They should all be arrested and tried for treason.

This could be a game changer. I can see Putin losing patience with the whole Ukrainian war, putting down the Wagner rebellion and then using tactical nuclear weapons to quickly achieve his goals.

A desperate Putin is a dangerous animal.

Whatever is going on seems grotesque, unbelievable, bizarre and unprecedented (to use a well-known C.J. Haughey phrase).

Can we rule out the possibility that it might be a ruse to encourage the Ukrainians to advance their counter-offensive?

Just about anything seems possible now.

Nikita Kruschev's grand-daughter, who is a professor of International Relations at Moscow University (and therefore probably a reliable source) states that there are armoured vehicles all over Moscow and that the closer to the Kremlin one ventures, the more armoured vehicles there are. People are being stopped in the streets by soldiers and police and their identities checked.

Rostov on Don, the 'capital' of southern Russia is totally in the hands of Wagner as has been admitted by local Putinist officials. This is a key logistics hub for the invasion of Ukraine which will be severely affected unless and until the Russian government re-takes control. Interesting times.

On the matter of 'reliable news', I am happy to admit that western news sources are like contaminated water, in that they reflect the views of their owners and their political views and financial interests and so news is 'slanted' and some significant facts obscured or omitted. However, they cannot stray too far from the truth or their credibility is lost. However, the media outlets in a dictatorship can be likened to 'raw sewage' in comparison since they have only one purpose and that is to support the leader and his preferred narratives no matter how incredible and outlandish. This is demonstrated in this situation. Where is Putin? Seems to be in hiding.

With respect to the truth in Western news sources, it did turn out, as first evidenced from the February Pentagon leak, that Russian casualty figures approached the truth, while the claims in the Western media of orders of magnitude more casualties on the Russia side viz-a-viz the Ukrainians were diametrically opposed to the reality. The utter failure of the Ukrainian 'Spring' counter-offensive is the tragic outcome of a conflict that has seen Western imperialism cynically exploit the blood and treasure of the Ukraine for its own nefarious reasons.

For myself, I've come to the general conclusion that what is daily propagated as 'news' in the media of the West is the greatest tissue of lies that have ever been deseminated. Russia, and even China, seem to me 'common-garden' evil dictatorships, the kind that have always existed, but sadly the Western World has become entrapped in a degree of Evil not heretofore experienced. Pure Molochism.

So you despise and distrust your own government. But they guarantee you the freedom to say so. No threats of arrest nor talk of 10 years imprisonment for your criticism. Congratulations, you are living proof of the superiority of western democracy (whatever its limitations) over the dictatorships that you so admire.

Absolutely and totally 100 per cent agree. Western governments have succumbed to the so-called elites (who are very likely Satanist adherents, and are now playing their hand in these, the time of times).
Havoc. Chaos. Violence. War. Carnage. And on a global scale. Satan's time is short. His minions are at work in the higher eschelons of Western power. The goal is coming into focus. Many can see it. Those that can't, soon will.
    Get right with God, folks...

There are worse things than jailing people for dissent. Such as legalising abortion, introducing same-sex marriage and the general normalisation of perversion. If you live in a country that imprisons people for dissent, you just keep your head down and live your live. My government is debating a 'hate speech' bill which, if some have their way, will allow me to continue making most political criticism of my government but will forbid me, or anyone else of like mind, from professing my religion in any public way.

You are not being honest in alleging that I 'admire' these dictatorships. You should ask yourself whether you are making an idol out of 'western democracy'. Christ never recommended democracy. In His words and actions, He installed a hierarchy based on individual authority. In a fallen world, human authority is always flawed, but democracy is certainly nothing special and has led us to become the most corrupt, degenerate society that has ever existed. Democracy can only work when the great majority of the electorate are loyal to the Law of God. When the electorate become pagan, apostate, even anti-Christian, the road is wide open for a takeover by the devil and his minions.

You're right, in one thing. I certainly do 'despise and distrust' my government. My prime minister largely attained leadership of his party on a pro-life platform. The minister for health who ruthlessly implemented an extremely liberal abortion regime originally gained election by taking advantage of his local pro-life activists to canvass for him. My government is cosying up to NATO, an American imperialist puppet, ostensibly over the invasion of Ukraine, while one prominent member still occupies one quarter of the territory of my country.

You want to fight for democracy? I think it can go to Hell, where it belongs.
